i'm currently in a 09 V6. its got about 65,000kms on it. almost all options except leather. i've found a dealer with an 09 GT (all same features as my car, only with leather) with 96,000km's.
i'm more than willing to take a hit with a much higher mileage car for the extra power. before i take the drive out there to see it, i'm curious if anyone has convinced a dealer to do this? looking at comparable listings, other v6's with the same km's in this condition are actually selling for the same as this dealer has his GT listed at with higher milage.
just curious.

Unfortunately what your car trades in for will be less than what they sell it for. You may have a shot if you sell yours off locally. Doesn't hurt to try though.

Even if your car blue booked the same value, the dealer still wouldn't take a straight trade. My guess is they would still want 3 or 4 thousand along with the trade in.

For all of us American's!! Note the OP is using Kilometers not Mile! So he's trying to trade a V6 with about 40 to 41K miles for a V8 with about 60K miles. Considering the difference in trim and miles, its still a tough trade but you might be able to convince them to do something plus a little cash! However I agree with another poster that you should try selling to a private party first.

Good luck but I do agree with a couple posters here. Try to sell privately first. But like I said, good luck either way!

i ended up calling them and they said they couldn't do it because they were having a hard enough time selling the one they had. they didn't want it to be sitting on the lot.
he also said if i threw in a couple thousand on top he might consider it.
i may just try and sell mine privately.
