G8 GT owners;
FYI
I have 6,500 miles on my G8 GT. I noticed steam coming from my hood after driving to work. After looking around, I found the small hose running from a connection on the front side of the radiator cap/neck that bends 180 degrees and runs to an engine connection on the RH side (as you face the engine compartment) of the engine air intake was leaking anti-freeze. The cause of the damage was the hose rubbing against the backside of the radiator top due to the engine vibrations/movement. The hose had a 3" long rub abrasion that looked like it had been held against a belt sander. Half of the thickness of the hose had been completely rubbed off to the point anitfreeze was now streaming out when the engine was at operation temp. and turned off. There are plastic clips molded into the radiator top for these hoses but they did not stop the movement, rubbing or abrasion.
You might want to inspect both the small diameter engine and overflow hoses that run on top of the radiator on the engine side under the baffle box. You will likely need to remove the air intake baffle box to see them clearly. The hose running to the anti freeze overflow tank was OK since it was not subject to the engine vibrations/movement.
