I was at the dealership earlier this week getting an alignment and saw a dealer modified G8. The sales manager decided to take one of them to an upholstry shop and have some work done. Thought I'd share. Not too big on white cars, but it turned out pretty good IMHO. I can't remember exactly, but I think it it raised the price about $1500, but it's very nice feeling leather that was used. My favorite part was that the upholsterer used white stitching on the black leather parts. Looked hot. Sorry the photo's aren't great, forgot to turn up the megapixles on my phone before snapping these.

Yeah that was my first thought too.....looks good on the showroom, but after a couple of dusty hot months here in oklahoma they'll be tan.

I dont like the white in the doors at all... In the seats, I love it.

Does look cool, but will be the devil to keep clean.

I have had this thought to have the lower door panels (map pockets) recovered in black leather or vinyl. Scuff the damn plastic all the time getting out. Anyone else?

yes I am constantly cleaning the side pocket. My wife keeps kicking the ground effect when getting in the car. I know if I say something she will say its me because I where black boots but the sole is not hard enough to leave a mark.:driving:

Yep - I've been using some Quick Detailer stuff about every other day and that seems to cover it up pretty well. Just a pain in the butt. Same plastic that's on the back of the front seats...

$1500 seems reasonable to stand out if the reupholstery quality is there.

I wouldn't do it in white, for the aforementioned cleanliness issues, but it looks gorgeous.

Now that I've seen the new 09s in PSM I've changed my color choice to that, and a similar color leather in place of that white might be interesting...
