Too bad there isn't any pricing yet. Although I do like Stealth Blue. Much more purple than I was expecting, but I really do like it. I think it's between that and white for me. Although I drive a yellow 04 GTO right now, and am kinda wanting something a little less conspicuous which is why I'm looking at white.

I am not sure what the problem is but when I click on the link it brings my to the site then I cannot open the G8 portion.

Looks like they caught up to C/D's November issue...

Nothing really new if you were able to see the order book. The one thing I did see is that the standard GT wheels are painted all silver and not with the black/dark gray insert on the same wheel available as a Holden accessory (or as shown on my avatar).

It seems we are back up to 361 bhp that's up from the 355 bhp I have see toted around !!

Still no mention for the manual gearbox !! Although there is a guy on a local forum here that says he's a GM Global Information specialist that I gave the impression that we would see it in march, I can wait, for that hopefully I can get myself one, for my birthday !!

You can't get the 19's with the sport package though can you? The 19's look a lot nicer IMO.

The color selection is defiantly lacking. I hope with the GXP there will be some more color choices.

Au Contrare (sp?), the 19's are included with the Sport package.

My G8: GT with Sport package, Onyx/Red cloth interior, in Gray (if I like it in person) or Black.

G8 = Holden SV6
G8 GT = Holden SS
G8 + Sport Package = Holden SS-V

The SV6 and SS come with the same wheels that the G8 comes with. They look at lot better than the standard G8 GT wheels, which look a lot less than what should be on a $32000 car.

The standard G8 GT wheels look like the standard GTO wheels, which very few people like. The G8 V-6 wheels look better.

The interior color choices blow. At least Australia gets "Ignition" orange, the color I would choose.

Those weren't the wheels I thought they'd be. The V-6 wheels look better, the 19's look terrific. They might look better in real life as the digital images on the website now seem to have some distortion and lack depth.

They might look better in real life as the digital images on the website now seem to have some distortion and lack depth.I agree, I think they lack depth and may even be off on color, the single shot of the 19" wheels looks painted, vs the whole car looks almost chrome.

The website is not 100% right now, I think part of that is the flash format, and cut and paste adding of options and even the colors may be a little off (the gray is pretty dull).

Even BMW's site makes their deep dish wheels look flat.

Still no mention for the manual gearbox...


I can't remember which car mag I read it in, but I remember it saying that the manual would not be offered in the initial models. It would be offered in 2009 with an engine upgrade package.

I hope there are more colors offered in 09'.

that sucks, 140mph speedo. i know i know you should never need to go that fast or faster, but its always comforting having a speedo that shows over 140, i mean common, they will do much more, might as well make it... well... 180 hehe. 140 is kinda lame...:rant:

Maybe it will be included in a Sport Apearance Package a la the '05 GTO.

As for those that aren't happy with color choices (I was really looking forward to an Impluse Blue or something like it), maybe they will make more availible closer to release date. Or maybe with the manual tranny cars, whenever they are going to be released. Fingers crossed for both.

The Speedo actually does say 180. After 100mph, it goes in incraments of 20 instead of 10. So the general did look out for us.
