How about a transplant.. drop that 427 in a G8 - the things I could do if money wasn't an object :)

I like it but for $155K AUD you can buy a base model HSV and build drop in your own 7.0L with even more power and have plenty of change left over to upgrade anything else on you'd prefer.

Well, dandy! But I can't use the power I have now. So, for another $123,000 au more than my G8 GT.............................Ummm........not a fookin' chance!

You could build a sleeper 427 G8 for wayless than that... LSX motor and aftermarket internals... hell you could keep your stock heads, intake and computer.

On the other hand it would be mising some stuff... like upgraded suspension, brakes and a warranty.

Man that ride looks tough as hell! Hmmmm.......Don't think the wife will fall for that price though.....Maybe if I sell her and the kid?! Nah, whoever bought them would just bring them back and ask for double their money back! Lol!

you guys get the G8 GT for just over 30k, we pay 45k for the SS. Working on that the W427 would probably be about 80k US.

80k sounds about right, if not a little more. The Z06 starts around 72k. So a G8 with a Z06 motor will probably be a little more.

for that price! i can drop a veron engine in a G8 and still save a bit lol
