it has the looks, definitely has the sound, now all we need is a price (group buy?) and any dyno numbers.

SAAAWEEET!!! I'm in on the 1st round of Kooks. That system sounds awesome. :)

I think I'm going with the Kooks header option all the way to the back bumper. It seems like a great set up. :driving:

It did sound really good. They do look amazingly similar to the ARH, but come on, really....How much variance will there be in straight tubing lol. I'm hoping the Corsa Mufflers will have a sound similiar to that, but keep it a little quieter in the cabin of the car.

Biggest issue I expect will be price of the cats,

Looks like they've done their homework. Some great looking headers. :)

There have been problems with non-OEM cats coming apart after a few thousand miles...just a heads up to be careful.

glad I've been forcing myself to wait to pull the trigger on anything. This system is badass :)

That's the best sounding exhaust system I've heard to date for the G8. Has a real "old school" V8 muscle car sound. Perfect!

Sounds awsome but I bet that drones like crazy on the freeway. Wonder what kind a gain stage one would net?

No doubt but in order to get a decent exhaust system, and remain emissions legal, we're going to have to take that chance. The stock cats are just too restrictive.

I'm very much afraid of the pricing on the cats, both MF and Kooks though. By the time I'm finished this is going to be a very pricey exhaust system.

A while ago I read (can't remember where right now) about how the OEM cat elements had no problem flowing at a high rate, it was just the size of the input/output that was the restriction. As in, the dictates of the desired HP output necessitated 2.5" inlets/outlets, and OEMs had 2.25" ins/outs.

This is unfortunate, because the substrates in OEM cats have proven to last forever, whereas aftermarket cats vary wildly in their longevity.
