After months of searching I have found the perfect specimen of G8 GT for me.

It's a 2008 White GT 31,000 miles with Premium + 19" Sport + Sunroof and GM Certified w/ 12mo B+B and 100K powertrain.

They had it listed 23,899.

I offered 22.5 OTD and the dealer countered with 23,593 Walk out price.

Does this sound like a reasonable price to pay?

Sounds a little high for an '08 honestly. How many miles? I think $21-22k would be fair.

Its got 31,000 miles.

The problem is that the car is 6 hours away from me so I can't haggle face to face. :(

31000 miles isn't high for an '08 so that's good. The car is worth what you're willing to pay really. If you've been looking and can't find the combination you're looking for anywhere else I say go for it. I really think you could find an '09 for the same price if you go private party and expand your search area a little bit. Not many differences in the '09's but it is a year newer which will net you a few more bucks should you need to sell it. Plus you don't have to look at those ugly atari gauges (although some like them).

Actually, I have found buying out of state or hours away to be easier, do it over email and phone. Tell them, listen, here's what I need, if you can't do it, I am sure I can find this car someplace closer. Tell them you are ready to buy and you can take the car off of their hands. Look at KBB trade in value with miles and options, add 1k and start from there. Good condition is (in my zip) $21,600... I'd start negotiating at around 22-22,500. I had an issue with one dealer I was working with for a truck for my buddy, told them well, not going to travel two hours until I get the deal I need and I am sure I can find this vehicle in this city or that city for where I need it to be and the next email was exactly what I had wanted. Just my experience..

Honestly, only you can answer that question. If its worth it to you and you can do it, go for it and enjoy the car. JMO. Good luck!

my 09' GT with 15K was 24.4 + taxes etc... i wouldnt pay over 23.0 out the door for the specs you gave.

The car is worth what you are willing to pay for it. If you think it is a good deal, buy it.

I would call them and offer 21K as the final offer. If they want to deal, they WILL call you back. They always do.

Low miles will put it at a premium. They can ask for whatever they want. If someone wants to pay it go for it.

Yeah I haven't seen many G8's below 25k so for this to be priced so closely to what else I have seen its seems like a great deal.
