Just a friendly get together after work on Friday 08/08/2008 - Dinner at 8:00 pm

Here's the plan : Meet up at Vengeance Racing after work or as soon as possible

Vengeance will have at least one G8 apart getting [classified] work done :) - I know what it is but I'm not telling... :):):)

Vengeance has welcomed us to the shop - promised shop tours and a place to get out of the hot sun until dark - there were some really interesting cars there (how many turbos do these guys think you really need ?)

After that go somewhere for "Dinner At Eight" at a local restaurant and more bench racing, lies and sea stories

I need your help to make this a fun event

- suggestions for restaurants ???
- someone bring a cooler full of water and other beverages -
- anyone own a bunch of orange cones? (it is an industrial park, after all)

I'm always looking for an excuse to go to Five Seasons Brewing... The Alpharetta location would work better due to the construction at the Sandy Springs spot.

The next Braselton Bash is August 16th from 5-9pm. We would love to see the G8's again!!! No race after this one but it will still be fun.

Looks nice! I got 35% on my front windows and 20% on the side/back and wish I had gone darker because it still gets too hot in the summer.

Just talked to Mike the owner (this time) - he is expecting us - I told him about 8 cars and gave him a timeframe of about 4 pm to 7 pm, and then dinner for those interested about 8:00 pm (still want to hear more about the brewpub)

I'll be there. I'm going to dyno my car with the VMS tuned ECM and then with the stock ECM. The damn car still wont break the tires loose from a stop :banghead: Since I don't have any other mods this will tell me if I have a weak engine and what the gains are from the VMS tune.

Your MPH was right in line with what it should have been at Commerce, so I'm sure your engine is fine. Besides, even if it were a little weak, it would only take ~240rwtq to spin the rear tires, and that kind of difference would definitely be noticeable. I'm sure I can break your tires loose for you if you let me drive it ;)

There is crap on your car. There are what look like black rub marks on the lower panels (beneath the front doors) and similar marks near the shock towers under the hood. I didn't really look carefully but those 2 places just kinda jumped out.

Vengeance claims it showed up that way so I can't tell you where it came from.

It's going to need a good detail job when it gets home.

Sorry to be the one to tell you - if you want I can swing by and take pictures of it for you when I am in the office on Tuesday.

Other than what Tom Pierce said, it looks good and sounds killer ! I watched the Kooks Video and noticed they didn't show what it sounds like in the AFM mode. Have you driven it since the exhaust was installed ?

Not yet, we had the car for about 3 weeks before it left for Kooks then went straight from Kooks to Vengeance. We'd love to have made it up there this last Friday but we work 6 days a week and its a good 2hrs one way for us. Hopefully we'll have it back this weekend or sometime early next week. The conversion is due to hit the docks in Cali on the 19th, so will have it about another 2 weeks before it goes back into the shop for the kit.
