: 2009 G8 GT good deal?
Evil 6.0 06-02-2011, 09:21 AM Been looking for a G8 GT for a while and just came across this at a local dealership. I think its a pretty good deal, let me know what you all think. Going to look at it today after work.

Thanks,

mrbirdman330 06-02-2011, 09:40 AM That is a pretty good deal though I would have the history of the car checked out as to why the price is so low.
Evil 6.0 06-02-2011, 10:09 AM I did a quick carfax on it, one owner and it came back clean. Going to ask for the full carfax at the stealership
mrbirdman330 06-02-2011, 10:11 AM KBB even though I take mostly what they value with a grain of salt is about right at their value of 30,000 for a GT with insanely low miles. The only thing I would say is this is the big deal of the year and they want it off inventory fast.
elephantrider 06-02-2011, 10:28 AM i'd try to get another 1k off or so, but all in all,
with those low miles, thats a pretty good deal.
colby1035 06-02-2011, 10:29 AM Yep, great price for the miles. Doesn't have sport package, if you care. And cant tell if it has a sunroof from the pics? But overall looks like a great deal!!!!
Richard Craneum 06-02-2011, 10:31 AM Amazing how well this car hold its value.
colby1035 06-02-2011, 11:27 AM SO sticker on car says 08, title on CARS.com says 2009??? I can't really tell which one it really is, but looks like its an 09 because there are 2 boxes in trunk. I think the 08 only came with one, as they don't have XM radio.
Just a little FYI
Evil 6.0 06-02-2011, 11:54 AM yeah I noticed the exact same thing with the sticker. Did a VIN search and it came back to an 09. Going to investigate further today. Whats the difference with the Sport package
colby1035 06-02-2011, 05:03 PM Sport = 19 inch wheels, metal (i think aluminum) pedals, upgraded flat bottom steering wheel
I also think the car doesn't have premium package either.
This includes - Leather interior (premium is perforated in middle section of seats, pics seem to show solid material), heated seats. I think thats it?
So if no sunroof and not having these two packages i can see why the price is low. Still a very nice car, and you should not shy away from it unless you just have to have the upgrades.
Let us know what you think after you check out the car!!
Evil 6.0 06-02-2011, 07:10 PM Went to go look at it today at the two dealerships that it was at, and there was no sign of it. Told that it is at a storage facility. Waiting for them now to get back in touch with me with details.
mrbirdman330 06-02-2011, 09:11 PM For some reason, the cars are set up for XM radio just it does not function. The fuses are in place for it but just no XM. Check it out, if its worth the price go for it.
Evil 6.0 06-02-2011, 10:23 PM dumba$$ salesman I talked to who said it was in storage was wrong. Just got an email from the manager... Sold
mrbirdman330 06-03-2011, 09:10 AM I'm sorry that happened man, that REALLY SUCKS.
Evil 6.0 06-03-2011, 01:50 PM found another couple in the area, but I think that they are way over priced, Let me know what you think.

mrbirdman330 06-03-2011, 06:09 PM The 09' is the better deal that 08' is a little over priced.
joeygr8gt 06-03-2011, 06:15 PM great deal! thats exactly what i paid for mine 2 months ago with 15k miles...little did i kno it had a full exhaust and a CAAI :)
elephantrider 06-03-2011, 07:11 PM the 08 is way over priced, especially
with those miles. the 09 is prolly
$3k high. try to be patient and find
the right one for the right price.
colby1035 06-03-2011, 07:47 PM Yeah, 09 is very overpriced.
However, it is loaded with both option packages, and a sunroof.
You also get the GM certified used extended warranty. Which extends bumper to bumper to 48,000 miles or 48 months.
And on the two tone interior is sweet, wish i had it.
I would see how far you can get them down. Drop the price 3 grand and its a great deal.
I paid 24,500 last Oct. Only difference was my car had 1,000 less miles, no sunroof, no two tone interior.
mrbirdman330 06-03-2011, 11:12 PM The 09' will seriously need tires.
Evil 6.0 06-09-2011, 09:12 PM So I went back to the dealership. They sold the red '09 GT yesterday but still have the grey one.
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=62295554&listingRecNum=4&criteria=sf1Dir%3DDESC%26mkId%3D20035%26stkTyp%3DU %26mdId%3D21186%26rd%3D30%26crSrtFlds%3DstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId%26zc%3D60044%26rn%3D0%26PMmt%3D1-1-0%26stkTypId%3D28881%26sf2Dir%3DASC%26sf1Nm%3Dpric e%26sf2Nm%3Dmiles%26rpp%3D50%26feedSegId%3D28705&aff=national
Asked them what their bottom line was and he said that they could do 23k. Thoughts? I mean it is an 08 and doesnt have either sport or premium package.
mrbirdman330 06-10-2011, 10:57 AM The Red's are very hot cars they hit the lot they're going bye bye very quickly. I had about five other people that were after the one I bought. I'd take that Grey, its very sharp try and talk them down.
Michael A 06-12-2011, 10:37 AM $23k seems like a fair price price if the car is clean
