I'm taking the GXP to a Friday at the Track FATT on Saturday (??) the 16th of July at Summit Point Raceway's Shenandoah Circuit. I've been to the main course before 15 years ago in my 89 Accord and once to a ride and drive for VW. Really looking forward to seeing what the G8 will do.

I'm going to try of the Harry's Lap Timer Pro App for my iPhone so I'll let you know how it does.

I do need to find a good stable windshield mount so I can record a lap or two. Anyone found a good one for the iPhone 4?

Tried to sign up for my second go-round that day early June.... and ended up on the wait-list. Still peeved about that:whine:

The G8 will do great on... but it's weight becomes noticable (at least for me) going into the tighter corners. Needs more grip imo. Regardless, you'll have fun and the car is right at home on the track.

The GXP was flying on the track! Granted it was a novice group but there was a lot of cars that disappeared in my rear view (M3s, Modded WRXs and a bunch of others). It was a very tight track but I was extremely surprise at the handling. I had some brake fade issues and I believe a mixture of a little over driving on my part and alignment issues wore and feathered my front tires. Even though I kept it mostly in 4th with slow corners in 3rd she accelerated great. The track was packed so leaving it in the taller gear just meant I didn't have to shift as much. My iphone overheated when trying to record video which was very disappointing but my Harry's Laptimer Pro app recorded my last session. The GPS permission for the app was off for the first 3 arrgh. I might post later along with some photos from race day photos.

I have a new addiction and have already warned my wife it will be expensive. LOL
