I see one thing I hate in the pics. That stupid steering wheel tilt is a lever underneath the column. When you're 6'3", it's an exercise to get one long leg out of the way each and every time I get in or out. That and there usually aren't detents every so often, so I can't get it in the same spot all the time. What happened to the spring loaded stalk on the side with consistant detents? It makes it so much easier.

I'm 6'7" and have no problems getting in and out of my GTO and it has the same steering wheel tilt/telescoping mechanism. Don't forget the steering wheel is telescoping too.

Do you move it everytime? I like the steering wheel pretty low. I get a lot of rentals for work, and lots of them have it and I hate it every time.

Nope, I never move it. It's extended all the way out, but it's about the middle as far as tilt is, I can move it up a little bit. I can even fully extend my left leg in the car and lock my knee. I really do hope the G8 is as comfortable for me to drive as my GTO is.

Nice read.

I'm short. 5'8" and I still wish the wheel tilted more on my GTO. On my other cars I just flip the tilt wheel everytime for an easy entry/exit. The GTO seat side bolsters are so substanstial that an extra 1" or so would help.

I have the wheel low and as close as possible to the dash.

I always remind myself that should the airbag ever go off, I won't get my "tits" blown off!!!!!!!!

Good read... I can't wait until they start delivering these things stateside, so at least I can get a closer look.

The interior could use some more color. The Commodore has colored gauge faces, it's a little surprising to see the G8 doesn't have them. The GTO also had body-color stitching, it's all black in the G8. Those are some touches that should be added.

Maybe the power needs to be on:
