: New Engine Covers Installed Pics!
drglock 08-02-2008, 10:51 PM Finally got some pics of these beautiful Silver Sparkle engine covers from Roto-Fab with Ignition Orange lettering. I have got to say, the engine compartment looks much nicer dressed up this way.

That is TOO funny because I had the exact same opinion! I got them, they looked great, but I was thinking, maybe black? But after a couple days on the car I would not have it any other way. Once the carbon fiber plenum cover is nestled in between those engine covers its gonna look awesome.
All of the Roto-Fab pieces I have gotten are top notch, premium quality. The only thing better than their products is their customer service! Thanks Mike!

Blackdevil77 08-05-2008, 11:18 AM very very nice! That cover also looks like it doesn't trap as much heat which I also like.

The same clips that hold your stock engine cover are used. They snap right on to the new cover and keep it mounted on the (fuel rail i believe) and additionally, there are 4 studs that screw into already existing holes in the heads that stabalize the covers at the bottom. This was a pretty easy install and took less than 30 minutes to do.
NIIIIIIICE!!!

Depends on the finish. Raw unpainted are $249, Powder coated are $299, Carbon Fiber gfx are $479 I believe. If you talk with Mike fr Roto-Fab he can come up with different color combinations of the covers and lettering. You can customize the lettering as well to say whatever you like, different fonts, etc. Like I said, they are great to work with.
Best engine so far.
Thanks!! I take the car to shows a lot and LOVE to show off the engine. Wait till I have all the pieces installed! Still waiting on carbon fiber CAI inlet tube, carbon fiber intake plenum cover and the black powder coated relay cover with silver G8 sillouette. I will have pics up as soon as I have everything installed! :)
those are very nice but i can't see paying that type of money

agree whole-heartedly.
drglock 08-08-2008, 05:23 PM agree whole-heartedly.
Its up to the individual of course. I go to a LOT of car shows, and you HAVE to have your hood open. Most of what people look at are the engine compartment and the stock look just isnt all that great. Especially when you are being judged against new vettes and mustangs with blowers and all sorts of other doo-dads.
I like to adorn my garage with posters of hot rods and trophies from car shows, so it's worth it to me to make that engine compartment look its best, and so far with the mods from Roto-Fab, I have gotten a LOT more attention and interest in the car.
If you are the type of person who is just interested in HP and smoking SRT-8's and Vettes, then you are probably not going to bother with a "pretty" engine compartment. I certainly agree, it is a lot of money to put into the car, but even saying that, I am happy with what I have gotten so far!
Once I have the rest of the pieces Ill be happy to post more pics. Or, If you are in the Chicago Area, feel free to come to any of the Hooters cup series car shows, as I attend them all, including Crystal Lake this Sunday and Joliet next Sunday and see them in person. It looks a LOT better live than in a photo. Cheers!
Kevin@Roto-Fab 08-18-2008, 08:06 AM Your C/F plenum cover and inlet elbow will be going on the "big brown truck" today. I am including a relay center cover that says "GT" on it. You can set it in place and see if you like it. If not, just send it back with the inlet elbow and we will continue your cover as discussed.
