Just figured if anyone interested in a 08 v6. Pontiac is running $1500 cash back on them. Now would be the time to buy.

I don't think anyone loves the V6 especially after what the all knowing gurus at Edmunds.com had to say about it...Execept for me,

But that's just me!

Cheers!

For the right price, I could love one. :)

Not much love for the v6s. They are a great value for their price range. I thnk most average car buying people just want to step on up to the GT for the looks. Many of the V6s I've seen on the lots are the Base, base ,base vehicles and don't have much of a 'impulse buy' look to them.

Well I posted it in the V6 area for people who want a v6. No offense but no need to #$*$ on people who may want something other than the v8. Don't get me wrong for the $1500-$2000 difference the GT is the way to go. But their are some people who don't want a v8 and whose insurance would skyrocket if they did get one.

If I offended anyone, I apologize. But I've seen far too many people criticizing those who bought the v6 or are looking to buy the v6.

I'm not sure who this is directed to. I stated that the V6 is a great value for the price range. It is only a short step up to get into the GTs. Not hating or bashing. unless you took the part that they are way too many base or low optioned V6s sitting on the lots.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you. I have a White Hot G8 V6 with all the available options on it. I like the stock wheels much better than what comes on the G8 GT, and for my taste the dual exhaust on the V6 looks much better than the quad pipes on the G8. That's my opinion. I bought my V6 for the "looks" and the gas mileage. I'll gladly accept any donations toward the payment from anyone who says I should have spent $2500.00 more for the GT!! I love my car!:judge:

With the 1500 cash back, I think the the G8 base is a great buy..........also think of this that the more incentives there is on a vehicle. There more it will trash the "preowned" value. Me for once wouldn't mind seeing domestic vehicles keep their values a little better.

I think I would have been just fine with a V6 model, but when looking I just happened to find the right color for a 2009 GT instead of the available red, black and hot white......which are not on my list of colors I ever wanted to own again.

I took advantage of the 2008 GMC deal. The dealers didnt have much to select on the lot. The V6 I bought, the dealer put 3000.00 rims on it. I told him get rid of the rims and you have a sale. My car looks just as sweet as the V8. You can always pump up a V6 to get some awesome power and make it sound just as mean as a V8. I just love the look of this car and for what I need it's perfect. The gas mileage is way better!!!
