If you guys are up to a track day for a very cheap price (typically $250-$300) you will need to get moving on this ASAP.

Come on people, if you want to have a track day we need to get committed and get signed up. When we announced that we may do this there was a lot of interest, now that it's time to pay up everyone is quiet.

The price of this track day is nearly half of what it normally is, and you will get a TON of track time with how we have it set up.

I will not have any track tires, will be on the same setup that I'll have driven several thousands of miles on (I'll be on a road trip from California), but I'm signed-up!

Oh, I'm sure I will... I just foresee I'm going to want to push my car harder than I really should. At least only having 245 Bridgestone RE-11's will keep me from going too hard.

Regardless, it will be a good use of the SuperCar Coilovers and the Track II Package! Demonstrate the true versatility of the products... drive ~3000 miles, run a track day, then drive another ~3000 miles with only a few clicks of the knobs!

you'll find that the RE11's will be better than you expect!

The setup you have will treat you very well.

Thus far we have 1 G8 setup for this track day!

Last year their website said Snell SA 2000 or newer helmets which is what I have. Now their site says Snell 2005 or newer. What is required for your track day?

Just ordered helmet and just signed up for track day.....What brake shoes do you recommend that I could drive daily and track also....

Hawk HPS work well for both, just don't get to crazy at the track.
HP+ are better for the track, but make more noise/dust on the street

Race pads are expensive, make lots of noise, and dust.
But they stop, consistently.

Officially we only accept Snell 2005 or newer, but we will accept Snell 2000 through the remainder of the 2011 season.

I used to have autocross pads on my 2000 corvette and drove it on the street without any issues..........would the HP+ be similar to this.

Ok everyone, we need to move on this,
$175 for a full track day that includes food is very cheap, i've typically paid 250-300 with out food.
Combine that with the fact that this track day is on a SATURDAY, and people should be jumping at this.
Problem that we have is lack of people paying the registration fee, at some point very soon we will have to make a decision as to whether or not to cancel the event that is only 6 weeks away.

I agree! lol

If you are apprehensive because you have not been on a roadcoarse before this is the perfect track to learn. Your car can be completely stock and you will have a great time and learn how to track the car. I am sure they will split us into groups based on experience. you will most likely only be on the track for 10 to 15 minutes at a time and then have to cool the car down for a while. Gingerman is a great track for everyone from beginner to professional.

exactly, if your unsure about whether you or your car can handle this, don't, you'll both be fine.

I'll be doing the track day after driving 4321 miles from California. After the track day I have another 5994 miles to drive. This will be my first experience on track as a driver... so don't worry about being the only first timer!

And for those that might think the price is high-in 2003 I was there for a track day and the fee was $150.00 and it did not include any meals.......so, this is a steal.........great track, great price...

Come on people... you know you want to drive your cars in more than just a straight line! Drag racing is great, but imagine the thrill of going down the strip, but having it last for 10-15 minutes!

Would love to go to this, but I won't know if I will be off work until a few days before the event. What is the minimum number of cars you need to run the event and when is your drop dead date?

minimum needed is 40 drivers,
right now we have significantly less than that.

One more reminder,

tomorrow we will decide if we are either canceling the event or raising the price to everyone that hasn't paid yet.

We are officially pulling the plug on this event,
we had 17 people signed up to drive, but with less than a month to the event i don't see enough people signing up to run the event.
Maybe we will try for something next year somewhere else.

Refunds will take a few days to show, but everyone will be refunded.

Sorry to those that had signed up for this, I personally was looking forward to this.

I am disappointed also. I have not been on a track since 2003 and was looking forward to it............

That is really too bad... time to modify my road trip.
