So I was driving South on I-65 out of downtown Indy on my way to Greenwood just minding my own business when a semi throws what looked to be about 1/2 of a tire at the front of my car. I had no place to go, cars right behind and to both sides. After I got done saying a few choice words, umm I mean SCREAMING, I pulled off at the exit that I needed. Yes, it was a 1/4 mile from where I was going to exit. When I got to a safe place I walked around front to see the damage and half the front fascia is smashed in to the condenser unit, fog light shattered, and grill inserts busted into several pieces... you get the picture. Then I walk down the right side of the car and the lower molding is now basically black where it used to be white. And then the black insert in the rear fascia is pushed out and cracked. All this to the tune of around $1800 in parts. Thank goodness for low deductibles. Anyway, I get her to the dealership after getting the claim started with the insurance and they start looking up the parts. All of the parts are "Not Available"!
:cursin:
So the dealer is going to get the car up in the air tomorrow and see what all is messed up underneath that we could not see and then do an alignment just to make sure nothing got thrown out of whack.
What a crappy way to end an otherwise smooth day.
Sorry guys just had to vent some.
