Between 300-500 depending on options/mileage/model, etc...

And that's a wild guess :)

Talking about price...I am trying to decide between the g8 and the cadillac cts. cts starts at 32,995 but you are hard pressed to find anything at this price on the lots Most the cts's are between 36k and 45k with the options. So when pontiac says the g8 is starting at just below 30k I wonder what the out the door price will be??

now that the cars are here................anyone know anything???

I've been looking at a CTS. To get a CTS remotely like a G8, you need to get the DI engine and performance package. That's nearly 40k. And the G8 will have a better stereo, power passenger seat and heated seats all of which cost extra on the "luxury" CTS. So cheapest it will be to make it roughly comparable will be about $42K, which is about 10K more than a G8 GT.

That said something is seriously wrong with the leases...a $46K CTS was offered at $609 a month with $1000 down. That seems about $100 a month too high. My current CTS is $325/mo with nothing down.

:stickpoke: I was talking about a g8. Hope the G8 prices aren't high though.:banghead:

One member has posted low 600s and another high 500s. It seems pretty bad. :eek2:

i think 7 series are like 800/month. 500 is a joke.

Lease pricing is fickle to say the least, but extremely dependant on residual value... which is why BMW can offer a 335i for under $500 a month. I'm Mod happy, so leases are bad for me, even though the mileage limits work for me, as I work very close to home.

I'm going to be very sad if I can't lease this car for max of $400/month...

Guess I'll get another g6???

$400 seems a little low, doesn't it? My GXP is $430/month, 30-month, and was listed at $31...something. I'm hoping for under $500, for a fair equipped GT.

I hope when u guys say $500 u mean with zero down. Otherwise I might have to open a can of whupass on someone.

Well... seriously here... Pontiac has no idea what the residual value of this car will actually be, so I'm sure they'll estimate that it'll lose a lot of it's value over the standard lease term of 3 years-ish. Production is so limited, they'll probably sell the full run without major rebates, lease incentives or finance incentives, until the market proves otherwise. I wouldn't hold your breath for a payment under $500 for a GT.

That's just stupid. What does a decked-out GT sans sunroof run?

what about a SmartBuy or SmartLease? Those tend to bring the prices down a bit. The Smartbuy on my G6 GTP is $287/month.

MikeMaj - your G6 ride is sweet - I'm in Central NJ -
Have you heard of any NJ dealers getting G8s in stock yet?

So why wouldn't G8 lease/loan prices be similar to a new GXP? The overall cost was the same.

Residual value

The total of your lease payments has equal to the decrease in the car's value + interest and hopefully some profit. The more GM thinks the car will be worth when you turn it back in, the less GM needs to charge you in order to make money.

Oh, ok. With a little down, and some GM "cyber dollars", it will be even better hopefully. Now they have that offer where they'll take back the lease up to 6 mos early, and kill the payments. Then, you buy a new one!

They will still pay you the extra months, if they offered that. According to the website, they scuk, and are currently offering 2.

Hopefully things will change, 6 is a much bigger incentive for me.

of course, the G8GT is a pretty big incentive also:gears:

I expect to see g8 gt leases in the upper 3's to low 4's per month with very little down sometime soon.

I'm at $599 per month, $885 out of pocket at signing, no Incentives at all.I got out of my 05 GXP 3 months early, I was right in the middle of 2 month early turn-in and the 6 month early turn-in.
