AMS is a well known tuner. They have done 1200 awhp Evo's and such. Just do a YouTube search on them. They are very impressive.

I believe the new one is an 11 second car out of the box now. Still $90K though But it does look a little better since they softened some of the weird angles in it.

impressive....BUT, that car is no longer a GTR, which is what I say about alot of these built cars. Obviously the engine isn't original at this point, probably all new internals, new turbos, new injectors, new heads and intake, hell who knows if they even used the original block. I seriously doubt they have the stock 4wd differential or 2 piece driveshaft either - doubt that those are good for 1500 hp!

A stock GTR is good for 11.2 1/4 mile and 0-60 in under 3 seconds - although many people claim that they don't typically perform that well at the track compared to the mags....still easy enough to get them in 10's with just intake/ECM/TCM tweaking

The car is a beast no doubt, and a stock GTR is too - and its price RIGHT. There is one now getting worked on @ the body shop where my car is, all the $$$ you pay for is right in the go-fast/speed parts: brakes/rims/drivetrain/engine/steering wheel/seats - rest of the car is, well, no nicer inside/out than a 370z, and that's a FACT.

But, if they tried to compete w/ the germans or italians or brits in that department they'd wind up w/ a $150,000 car instead of an $80,000 car

Most hilarious thing about this new exotic/supercar market is the lexus LFA - what a joke ahahahaha - this GTR costs $300,000 LESS than the Lexus, is nearly 1/2 a second quicker in the 1/4, 1/2 a second quicker to 60, and pulls more lateral G's on the skidpad AND stops quicker from 60.

Those aren't just "sort of" quicker #'s - its an entirely faster and more capable car hands down. So what do you get w/ the Lexus??? Flashier interior, some more exotic materials? Yeah I guess maybe. Sure as hell aint the "name" WTF does lexus (or toyota for that matter) know about making fast street cars (yes I know F1, yes I know Supra, but nissan is the one w/ the speed rep) And it sure as sh*t aint no ferrari or lambo or aston or maserati or bentley or anything of that nature, and for that price - forget about it - Lexus deserves a punch in the face for this kind of arrogance.

new pistions and rods upgraded turbos their cnc ported heads and cams. and other things thats all i saw from the vid.
the trans i kno was rebuilt by sheperard racing.

For me, GT-R is the best car in the world. I'd love to have a new one but I prefer the older ones. R34 being my favorite generation. Here's a sick video of a R33 doing 200 in a tunnel in Japan. Sounds awesome.

The body shop I just got my car back from had a GTR in there. The owner is the F'N MAN!!!

The side skirt was all scuffed up, along w/ driver's front fender/bumper, and along the driver's side door. I was like, what happened? He said he was just taking a corner really hot on an offramp, and then last second changed direction, inside wheel caught the rumblestrip and there was some debris in the road (I think he said chunk of tire/metal) that he ran over and caused his car to pull left and he scraped it more on the curb.

On top of that while he did have a clearbra the entire front end was still pockmarked, and he had some chips in other spots. The body shop was touching the whole car up for him.

He had wendy's drive-thru bags in the back seat.

I asked him what is this your DD? He said hell yeah, I put on winter rims and tires (studded blizzaks) and tear sh*t up all winter.

He said he loves the car, nothing touches it for the price, and that the only downside is how expensive the brakes are, he had 43,000 miles on it and said it was getting to where he may need some brake replacements.


Now, I want all you guys who baby your G8's and treat them like garage queens to let that sink in for a while. A car that is fun to drive is MEANT to be driven, not jerked off all over and polished all day and sh*t.!!! Enjoy it! At the end of the day its just a couple ton of sheet metal, suspension parts and an AL block
