anyone here know if it is possible (GM parts) to install dipstick tube for tranny???

or after market one will fit?

This is a really good question. As I understand it there is a plug for a dipstick and some applications do come with one. I guess if one could figure out which cars have the same trans and do have one something could be rigged up.

I pretty much agree with that sentiment. Hopefully someone will come up with an idea.

It has unlimited mile Dexron VI in it right? Only severe duty applications call for changing it out.

^ agree, unless you are installing a new torque convertor, or tranny cooler, only a leak should require dealer not you to top off.

Transmissions, particularly those with coolers installed, do have a way of losing a bit of fluid now and then. My feeling is that for 5 bucks more they could have made it easy to check and fill so they should have. Unlimited mile fluid? Is that like cheap gold? No such thing in my opinion, particularly when the car is seeing duty like 1/4 mile runs.

Yes it is like gold yet not cheap... I think it was 15 bucks a qt at AZ the other day...:(

Better last 50,000 at least...

My F-150 was supposed to go 100,000 or something like that. It has 87,000 on it and has had it changed 2 times using Mobil 1 ATF. I'm anal like you guys too...:drink::)
