Quick, search the web as fast as google will allow you.
I just got a call from a friend in Detroit. He said he was at a gas station near Renaissance Center when he spotted a G8 in test mule clothing. The hood was up and he went to take a look, he doesn't have a camera but he wanted to see if it was the V6 or V8.
He said he only got a peak because the drivers shut the hood as soon as they noticed someone was looking, but my friend swears he saw a different engine cover on it than what we've seen in the V8 photos: those have four loops coming off the sides which denote that its a V8, this one had FIVE! He said it had a different exhaust note too!
He did not get pictures, but said someone else there was snapping them on a cell phone camera. 5 could mean 5 cylinders on each side, or a V10!!
Think about it, a whole new engine from GM! A V10?! Thats never been done by GM! I've searched and searched but so far nothing in any combination of the words "G8" and "V10" shows hits! Search dammit! Search as quick as you can!
