I had a great time and I got to meet Atlas. It was hot and muggy so I knew 13's would be hard to get. Lots of compliments and people asking questions. I ran 9 times and mostly back to back. I can't remember but one was a cool down (30-45 min) but it didn't really help my ET.

Car is completely stock, 1/2 tank of 93, I weigh 210lbs, tires 35 all around, TC off.
DA (from Atlas) was 3338.
I raced from 7pm-9pm TEMP 94-90 HUMID 53%-67% (thanks CoolAid)

Here are my times and I will figure out how to take a pic of them.

------BY QUICKEST TIME------
(60')-------(1/4)--------------(TIME OF DAY)
2.218------14.268@99.16------7:26PM---corrected pass is 13.698@103.35
2.275------14.288@99.46------7:35PM
2.230------14.342@98.83------7:21PM
2.267------14.343@99.02------7:31PM
2.234------14.376@98.50------8:27PM
2.239------14.414@98.40------7:47PM
2.225------14.430@98.14------8:41PM
2.290------14.461@98.38------7:17PM

:) Yeah it was a good day to get a lot of runs in!

How: I tried sport mode and drive none seems to make a difference. I also tried loading the suspension (foot brake) but those were the slowest times. My best times came from pegging the gas between the 2nd and 3rd yellow light. I would do a short burn out by getting the tires loose in the water leaving the manual in first, once they were lit I would let go of the brake push the manual in second and roll spinning towards the tree. I tried going around the water but when I left I had horrible wheel hop and I let off and then got back on it (2.563 60' and 15.256@98.22 1/4).

I had a lot of fun and it must have been cool seeing two G8GT's racing each other! Red vs Black! Thank Atlas.

Oh and my car number was 31! LOL

Pretty consistent - I'm dying to get back to the track and get my stock GT into the 13s...

Thanks Atlas I was wondering what it was corrected!

the only problem with correcting is that it corrects the 60' time too, so it assumes you would have gotten better traction off the launch. I mean, it is possible that your 60' would get better because you make more power in better air, but at the same time, launching gets tougher because the road surface is colder AND because of the more power.

Personally, i think ALL time slips should be corrected. it's stupid to compare 40* 0% 30.50 baro air at -1500 ft. to something like the conditions you ran in or worse. Those better air runs should be corrected to normal weather/elevation too.

For what it's worth...

The hotter you get the stock radials (ie. spinning them) the greasier they get.

You will gain ZERO traction spinning your tires.

Drag radials are a different compound, they get stickier when you warm them up.

Drive around the water and just give it a short "spin", no smoke, dry to clean off the tread.
