I finally made it to Road America this year. It wasnt without pain though. On Saturday the right front brake caliper seized on my G8 and a replacement part was no where to be found.

So I ended up sharing track time with my team mate who was driving our track prepped BMW. 1st session J drove. On the second session it was my turn (we were in C advanced group btw). After 5 laps the power steering pump failed on the BMW and our day ended early. :(

Despite the crappy sequence of events however, I did at least get to experience a few laps on this unbelievable circuit. If you ever have the opportunity to drive an HPDE at Road America you should definately experience it! On the front stretch I was winding out the motor in 5th gear at 6500rpm and hitting about 135mph. On the back long easy left hander between turns 10 and 12, what a rush! You have walls on both sides of you and skid marks everywhere with black marks on the walls and you are pushing 120mph+ through there.

Even though we had terrible luck with our cars we still managed to enjoy the little time we had on the track. I will definately be going next year!

Cool! Sorry to hear your car didn't make it.

I've raced bikes on RA. Great circuit for sure.

That's too bad, yet good :) RA is a scary place when you have the HP to go too fast. I ran it twice last year, but haven't been back this year, but it's awesome.

I have unabused stock calipers if you still need one. You should just do the Camaro upgrade and get it over with...
