I'll revisit this once the weather cools off. I suspect the high temps pulled alot of the available timing.

something is not right obviously.

I had similar results. It may have to do with the humidity and heat, don't know. Here is the dyno sheet:

I saw a drop off in mileage as well when it got hot out. I had NEP do I custom tune which helped a bit.

It's likely that we accidentally shipped you a stocker, did you happen to order the FlashXpress for your TCM? If so we can re-load it that way and check everything for proper operation. I apologize for the mix up, we've been pretty overloaded lately! Heat and testing method can have a huge effect on the results, heat soak ect.

Also I'd appreciate it if someone has an issue with thier tune to contact us DIRECTLY first, we dont read every post on every forum and if there is a problem since this was posted and never emailed/called we'd never know :) This is a simple fix with the FlashXpress and those of you getting dyno time should schedule it when you have the system so we can fine tune it, thats the whole point of the system. Not much point in doing that without it :)

This was a FlashXpress install. Since I have 2 ECMs I can send this one to you. I may have the NewEra intake and it would need to be updated for that too.

What are the odds that happened to my ECM as well? I ordered a new ECM from you guys, would you retune if I sent it too you?

Not bashing or saying anything is wrong we are just talking about results. I like you guys and I have purchased three times from you and I am happy with the products. We have just seen some similiar results and would like to discuss it.

It sure as hell didn't happen to mine. Only going by butt-dyno but I have a very clear increase.

Wait wait.. MAY have or DO have? Thats a completely different tune!

I'm not ruling anything out at this point but again why was this never brought to our attention directly IE why are we hearing about this now? LOL :)

Again if you have dyno time lined up or you are thinking about dynoing and have a FlashXpress on order DO IT AFTER YOU GET THE UNIT!! We can fine tune it on the dyno with the logging software! Plus then we for sure know which tune it has :)

Mike I understand and I appreciate it! Just looks wierd when someone offering a similar product dynos OUR product and it didnt do what its supposed to do on paper and we never heard about it ;) If it has issues we want to be notified and address them first rather than having to read about them later :) This is why we make a point not to post competitive dynos it just looks bad and we can never replicate how they were tested the first time ect.

I actually just found out recently. I had NEP do a tune on my stock box while installing other parts and we decided to see what the stock box, VMS box and new tune would do that's all. I had figured the results had a lot to do with heat so I didn't really bother. After reading the results above I am wondering if my box may have not been flashed by you guys by mistake because the results are far shy of the 30 RWHP claimed. Again, there could be may factors. The JBA's just got installed yesterday ;)

Please keep in mind I'm not concerned or bitchen really. I was just interested when I saw someone else pull the same numbers. It was very hot and humid the day we did all the dyno runs. As for posting results, well I'm a big believer in free conversation and exchanging ideas and thoughts. I understand your apprehension, but we are just talking. I do agree on the replication of performance figures and you are correct. By the way I saw your dyno sheets posted on this forum as well ;).

Yeah I know thats no big deal its just the people that come out and say "hey whats up with my tune" yet we've never heard there was an issue thats all! We like to take care of our customers and we dont get the chance to do that if we are the last to know :)

doooooo eeeeeeeeeeeet!!! BTW looking at your dyno run it looks like you had a little bit of knock on the top end with our tune, thats probably why the power dropped off. This is easily fixable with the FXP.

It was hot and sweaty, not suprised. I will never get my car back if I keep adding parts ;). I am just waiting for someone to buy my Cobra or 4.6 DOHC engine and then major mods will go in. Looks great either way, the Pedders stuff dropped her just right.

Vector has a tune for the New Era intake. Kirk tuned my G8 on their dyno with the New Era installed. I posted about it as well.

I read the post where the VMS tune and stock were almost identical. It has apparently been recalled or pulled. However, regarding this comparison, has anyone ever mentioned the traction control while doing the dyno testing? Seems to me that when you want optimum performance while racing you turn it off. I understand that on the dyno the car is strapped down but depending on the sensitivity of the TC sensors, if there is any sideways movement or even wheelspin if that is possible then the system may have reduced the appropriate power. Any possibilities here?

G8 Ray, did you have the panel mod at the time of the tune?
