Maybe it was the aspect ratio on youtube but they looked to sit a little lower than the other pictures I've seen.

I would have liked to see the interior shots of a 2 tone interior and not just the black one.

I can't wait to test drive one.

Does anyone know if the interior clip if of the v6? Because those seats look boring. I read also that the V6 has the 5" screen vs the 6.5" and they said during one interview that they had both V6's and V8's.

Edit: It has to be the V6 because the steering wheel isnt leather. Whew thank god. I thought They scaled down the seats.

The interior shots show seat covers available as a dealer accessory - you can see leather on the side and cushion bolsters. The car has the dual climate control/upgraded radio with the screen.

I dont think thats leather, it looks like the Hi - grade fabric sets. Also the gauge faces are black and the steering wheel is all black with no leather as opposed to the leather wrapped and two tone steering wheel. On the ordering guide it shows the V6 to come standard with a 5" lcd screen.

It displays oil pressure and amps on the GT and V-6s equipped with the optional stereo (UPW). On the GT/optional V-6 stereo, the integrated screen is 6.5". It could be a V-6 with the Comfort and Sound package (PDD).

The gauges are black probably because the car isn't "on" (the odo shows when the car is off (no door open chime) and someone picks up keys off the seat) as these look like quasi-illuminated gauges and the order book shows the same instruments as standard on the V-6 and GT.

However, near the end of the video, you can see the passenger seat and it looks like there is a cover on the seat with the separation between the cover and left side bolster.

I think it has to be the V6 with the option package. I saw the seat covers, but the design of the seats are totally different than what i have seen in any other pic of the GT/SS-V. Look at the headrests on the seats in the videos and compare it to what all of the other V8/GT/SS-V seats look like. I think the GT comes with the two tone gauges that light up red/orange and the base/V6 comes with all black (even in the pic above the gauges are still two tone with no key in).

I truly hope Pontiac changes the cluster backlighting to Pontiac "Warm Red". This was my beef with my GTO. Chris White had to work his magic!

My guess is the vids were originally supposed to be private and someone messed up.

My only thought is that the comments were so scripted - talk about the great V-8, handling, comfort that there had to be an intended audience. There was also a lack of "insider" talk that you would have on a video of someone trying to preserve the moment for personal reasons.

Exactly they all said the same thing, lol. There was no mention of what they had to change or tweak, lol.

They knew the G8 followers were going to see it and get excited (like we did). He mentioned that they we ready for production, which is what we all wanted to hear.
