December 2007 issue of Car Craft.
Interesting it gives gear ratios and weights.

I find it very odd that any magazine would publish this information now, as if it was news.
The designations, ratios and weights have been public information for at least 2 years. The below is from a document released in Sept. 2005, and includes the ratios, net weights, and a host of other information. . .

Yeah,
I've seen the ratios before but I thought the weights and the gear change ratio (percentages) were interesting. I have been looking at changing the transmission in my 68 Chevelle and have been looking at all the various automatic transmissions, their ratios and the spread (rpm drop). For reference. April 2005 Car Craft. (I get all the magazines, I'm running out of room to keep them though)

HAH!
I have ( most, but not all ) R&T going back to 1962 - NOT a mis-type - 1962.
Very interesting occasionally to compare with contemporary cars & issues....
