had a good run with a 335i bi-turbo 2 door coupe this morning. Gotta say it was a well matched race. I got the jump on him from the light and put him at the rear bumper, but he stayed right there and paced me right up to 90mph or so. I was shocked at how quick he was, I am sure he was shocked at how quick that big black 4 door in front of him was :driving:

Weather needs to hurry up and cool down so I can start modding. So far that is a mustang GT and 335i coupe for the G8:pir_flag:

Great race. I test drove one before choosing the G8 GT. Stat wise they are pretty close. The 335i felt quicker off the line, but the G8 GT felt stronger up top (makes sense considering the two power trains). Thats a good match up.

The paddle shift trans is amazingly quick and the engine leaves A LOT of power on the table.

1500 bucks buys a TON of power. BEWARE!

Personally, I think that the 3 series sedan is ugly but the coupe is nice. Plus comparing a 3 series to a g8 is dumb considering the size difference, my only complaint about the g8, the only objection if you will is that people complain about the paint job.

Agreed - a 535i would be a much better comparison.

As he mentioned, for $1500 you can purchase the Dinan software which is warranted along with the factory. For that low price you have a warranty and a car push almost 400hp. Watch out!

We aren't comparing these two vehicles. This is a kill/racing thread. He could have raced a Ford Escort... can't compare those cars either, but a race none the less.
