I'm going to be in a hurry tonight as I've got a ton of things to do before heading out of town this weekend but I wanted to install my pxe-h650. I'm going to be installing it tonight using the RCA's I've already ran and bypassing the AntEQ portion of the processor. I was wondering if anyone knew if the oem blaupunkt head unit had a frequency response curve applied to its outputs to help the factory speakers out or if it was a smooth output like an aftermarket(alpine/pioneer/etc) head unit. I will find out eventually when I try out the AntEQ but for now I will just have to try it as is. I was just curious if anyone had this information. Thanks.

I believe it is pretty flat if the eq is disabled in the HU.

For somer eason the PXE-H650 doesn't produce enough signal when I use the Aux Main setting to take measurements. I'm currently rewiring things so that the processor gets the high level(speaker wire) input to see what happens. If all this is pointless and the processor is just a POS then I will be very upset....
I would be willing to bet large sums of money that the eq is tweaked when you turn up the volume. My JLs do not respond proportionally when I turn up the volume.

I got it all setup now. AntEQ found a pretty flat response except in the lower bass region. It was dropped about 2.5-3dB if I remember correctly. I set this all at volume 35. The processor works very well. I'll go into detail tomorrow.

Did you ever get the PXE-H650 all worked out? I am going to install one of these this weekend. Where did you end up mounting it, and what speaker wires did you connect to? I was planning to stuff it under the dash someplace and just connect two channels. I don't care if it is front or rear as long as the outputs are full range. My big concern at this point is how bad the motor noise will be with the aftermarket equipment. I'm hoping the AD DA conversion in the H650 will filter it out, but that might be wishful thinking.

The PXE-H650 seems to be exactly what I am looking for. The only info that will be very helpful for me is exactly where and how it is to be connected to the speaker wires of the G8.
Does this connection happen behind the head unit?
Which speakers are utilized (front door, back door etc...)
What happens to the center channel and/or rear sub spearkers.
Are you still utilizing the factory speakers or did you add amps/speakers?
Any info would be much appreciated as I would like to upgrade ASAP!
