Thought I would share a story.

I've owned my HSV R8 since new and have done about 18,000 miles in it.

Took my R8 into the dealership for a warranty check on Tuesday, after making a booking on Monday afternoon.

I had a slight oil leak and a horrible fuel smell when filling past the first "click" off.

Turns out the integrated trans cooler in the bottom of the radiator was leaking.

The dealership kept the car overnight, supplying me with a loaner car.

They did the following in a day and a half:

remove / replace radiator
flush engine
replace coolant
replace trans fluid
flash TCM
remove tailshaft
empty / remove fuel tank
replace fuel filter
check / tighten fuel lines
refit tailshaft

and they also replaced the button pad on my flip key as it was worn.

I was clearly not real impressed with the leak, but very impressed with the service.

I will also work on driving the car a bit harder now that the learn process begins again for the A6.

Sounds like good service and you are good to go…my mechanic friends around here tell me not to fill gas tank past the first click off…if you do it can force gas where it should not be….???
