G8 in the News ...
"We're pretty impressed that GM managed to keep the base price below
$28,000 ... Mark our words, this car will sell out, at least in its first
year of production and perhaps one or two after that." John Neff, Autoblog,
October 2, 2007
"Zigging the zags up the switchbacks of Palomar Mountain, both G8
versions showed genuine cornering poise with trustworthy grip, suppressed
body roll, solid chassis rigidity, and ... tangible steering feedback ...
the V-8 attacks grades with a mighty shove and a barrel-chested bellow from
its twin tailpipes. The G8 GT will be quick, with 60-mph times likely to
fall in the low-five-second range." Car and Driver, November issue, after
test driving non-US global versions
"Just prior to the end of the drive, we stop near the Hoover Dam for a
few quick grab shots. A guy in his early 20s comes up and says, 'I don't
know what that is, but I like it.'" Motor Trend, November issue, on a drive
with GM engineers.
