So, I went out again on Friday. The heat was miserable. Sadly, my best run of the night was a 13.7. But, My new best R/T is .023!! It was easily 75 degrees out the entire time.

Things I destroyed:
Infiniti G35 [Had Skyline badges, and the plate was 1 Bad G .. Yeah right.
Friend's 240SX
A early SN95 Stang - was loud as hell, with lots of bodywork. He got a 15.2
A bunch of SRT4s
Charger R/T <-- But we all knew this would happen anyways.

I must admit that I lost by only a car length to an Integra and a Civic SI. Upon going up and talking to the guys who drive them, I found them completely stripped of EVERYTHING except the shifter, odometer/tach, and drivers seat. They both had a little bit of work done, as well. So, that explains it.

Now, I have to go out to the car and get my timeslips, but.. I ran one pass at 105MPH and another at 106. WTF?

P.S: I am investing in a set of drag wheels and BFG Drag Radials for next year. :)

Congrats. I'm envious of the mph. You certainly have a strong engine. How are you launching the car?

98% of the time I launch from idle. The RS-As are doing me no justice and getting me practically zero traction.

I did start launching around 1200 lately, and it hasn't made me lose all traction like when it was cooler. So, I'm not sure what will be happening once it starts getting cool again. I did the 13.5 from idle, so we'll see.

I think it is funny that she thinks 75 deg is "miserable" heat. :wink2:
Most of us would love to get 75 deg temps at the strip durring the summer.

LOL 75 degrees with the windows up and wearing a helmet is miserable! It barely ever gets above 85 here at the most!

I was born in South Miami Hospital and lived in Miami for 15 years. I hear ya on the winters down there! What a joke. It actually feels like Christmas here in North Florida!:)

If you spun the tires off the line this will ususally result in a higher MPH trap speed. What was the ET for that run? If you were consistently 105-106 mph then it's a strong car but if it was a freak run, tire spin was most likely the issue.

Yeah, I trapped 107.25 with a 13.396 ET.

Hah! I think the coolest weather I've ever raced in was around 65* in November. If it were 75* here in the summer I'd be at the track every weekend!
