Well everyone first just let me say I didn't necessarily make the intake for more HP actually Im just looking for better air flow to the egine and for fuel economy purposes. I have increased my fuel economy by 3 MPG! in just 2 days after I installed this. That is if you don't step on it :). You really can't hear that so called woot sound because the V6 engine drounds the sound out our engines are so loud. Not complaining but can't really hear it. I had no choice but to use a 4 inch elbow put reducer inside to make it 3.5''. There is no 3.5 inch piping around in md so just went to pep boys bought a
1. 4''90 degree rubber elbow
2. 6 inch long 4 inch daimeter alumuinum pipe
3. 4" to 3.5" silicone coupler
4. 3.5" to 3.5" coupler
5. 3.5" 60 degree aluminum pipe
6. K&N about 7'' with 3.5'' opening
7. Spectre vacumm hose/ sensor drill whole kit
8. vacumm hose black
Total cost was about 100.00 not bad though compared to what other companies will be charging. Although mine is a 4'' to 3.5 which I would really like have all one size 3.5'' all he way to filter. It will do for now untill I can find a 3.5'' 90 degree rubber elbow and 6'' 3.5 diameter aluminum pipe around here. I am thinking about putting the filter downward to make it cold air just not a big fan of water getting on filter.
