Under certain conditions, I get a rattle/vibration on the rear parcel shelf. If I put my hand on the underside of the shelf, the rattle with cease.
Anyone tried putting Dynamat on the underside of the shelf?

Parcel shelf? Do you mean the rear dash? Parcel shelves are something used in hatchbacks...just making sure.

I've put dynamat-extreme on the most of the top surface of the parcel shelf, and a few small pieces on the underside in the vicinity of the speakers.
No rattles.

Parcel shelf, package tray, rear deck, rear dash, tomato, tomatoe, yes, it's all the same: the panel between the rear seatback and the base of the rear window.

You put it on top? Doesn't that look kind of ugly? Or, is it under the tray itself? Not being a smart a**, I am just trying to understand what you are doing with it. I am unfamiliar with the product, so please educate me.

He means on the bare metal.....
If you havd a small rattle that just needs some help...go get foam weather strip and adhere it to the problem to decouple the shelf from the metal....Much cheaper

The soft/fuzzy side of VelcroŽ works well for this as well. I use it a lot for plastic on plastic squeaks.

I have a rattle on the passenger side. At first I had a lot of clips rattling so I used some silicon calk. I still get a rattle, that if I push up on the deck it goes away. I was going to to the dynomat route as well.
good to know I'm not the only one.

Thats my thread with pics and a link to more pics of the install in my car. You can affectively get rid of most of the rattles of the rear deck by putting two layers on the underside of it. On the top you have many things that get in the way and make it more difficult to cover properly. I did two layers on the underside and one layer on the top in all the places I could get to. Hope this helps.
