I don't think that would qualify for G8 of the month though. I think it would be sick for Caseys car to be submitted next month crossing the finish line. His car is sick and deserves to have his car submitted solo.

I feel like G8 of the month should be about capturing a G8 in a picture that evokes emotion.

I don't think it should be about mods or rims or engine bay bling, but just a great shot that captures a G8 at its finest.

I guess it depends. I always though it was supposed to be about the car overall but the one pic rule might be taken to indicate that you are right and its just a photo contest.

Well I don't know what else it could be.

Most G8's are not highly modded, so if it were a mod contest than very few would have a chance to compete.

Anyone can take a compelling picture however.

Cars don't have to be highly modded to be great cars. Minor mods can flow together well, or not so well. I guess I had the wrong impression. Seems it should be called G8 Photo of the month maybe?

I can dig it.

The G8 photo of the month thing is a rough subject for me, because I think that a lot should be considered when it comes to what makes a good photo. Is it highly photoshopped? Is the exposure way off? Then there are the small things like does it look like a pole is growing out of the roof of your car or does it clearly appear to be part of the background? Are the wheels turned the correct way yadayada. All those things factor into what makes a good photo to me at least.

Not that I haven't seen some great photos when G8 of the month, but I have also seen some not so great ones that totally miss the details. Or they are so highly photochopped they are no longer the real thing. Or better yet you can't even tell what type of car it is.

You obviously have photography knowledge. Me, not so much. I look at a pic and just kinda think does it catch my eye or not. My wife is into photography but my knowledge is minimal.

Thanks man. I'm not nit picky about photos for the most part. It just hast to make me feel something. Lord knows I don't take perfect pictures and my knowledge and experience with photography is only the 1.5 years I've owned a camera to take pictures. I just look at professional photos, and try to capture that same sorta vibe or moment when they took there picture. I will take 100 pictures to find that one that I think is great.

I just need the picture to make me feel something, and it doesn't take photochop or a professional photographer or camera to do that.
