Justin(a employee of mine) and I were sitting here talkin bout the ZR1 Vette and a Bugatti Veyron SS. Which one do ya'll think has the best 1/4 mile time? Fixin to look it up myself. I think its the vette even before I do the homework.

you're kidding right? The bugatti is probably a full second quicker in the 1/4 - no contest

Unless you're driving a fully built ZR1 w/ some mods it isn't going to stand a chance, only stock vehicles capable of taking down a bugatti have 2 wheels, not 4

Never mind I know that I already lost this one. The Veyron SS will do 9's and the ZR1 will do 10's. I wonder what kinda mods you can do to the Vette (without getting to ridiculous) that will allow it to compete with the Veyron and would you even want to drive it going that fast. I know I would.

It's closer than you think. Mid 10s for the zr1 and low 10s for the veyron. Super sport I believe has broken into the 9s. Not bad for a 2 ton pig

Yeah but think about it. You spend 2 million on a 9 second car and a ZR1 which is a hell of a lot more affordable than that is just under a second slower. What would you buy? Mine would be the Vette. Plus I won't buy anything but American except for a Holden built Pontiac. :)

To say that the zr1 is a mid 10 second car is really pushing it. It takes a pretty damn good drive to get it into the 10s bone stock.

You could spend $13,000 on a jap litre bike that'll run 9's stock, mid 9's w/ a few hundred bucks in mods...what's your point again?

If you buy a Zr1 and throw 8,000 at it (cam, pulley, clutch, tune, tires) would probably do low 9's with a good driver but unless you have a custom trans in it you will never be able to hit the speeds the veyron is capable of 2 or 4 wheels a like. But also you can wrench on a vette, and when you need tires they don't cost 20,000 each.. The difference is the bugatti can be that fast and reach crazy speeds and do it without breaking a sweat. You can't compare the two, one was made where money is not an issue the other made to give a chance for the ordinary guy to have a supercar.

The people who buy a Veryon or better yet a Veryon SS didn't get it for its 1/4 mile ability lets be real here they bought it because its a Bugatti Veryon plane and simple. And as for the argument of a modded ZR1 VS a Veryon it can best be summed up like this, at the end of the day when you park it its still just a Chevy while the Bugatti owner has a Bugatti. OR if you like take the same guy put him in the Vette and let him roll up to a nice club somewhere looking for some female "friends" then take him and stick him in the Bugatti and see how he does.
