Anyone know what brand(s) will actually be on the G8 GT?

They use the blowstones in OZ, so I would be tempted to say the same for the states - Bridgestone Potenza RE050A (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE050A&partnum=44WR9RE050AV2&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&place=3&speed_rating=S&speed_rating=T&speed_rating=U&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=%28Y%29&minSpeedRating=S) Blowstone low balls OEM prices to get their reputation back (after the Firestone and other issues after that), and make thier money by getting the repeat business for replacements for those who say "put the same tires back on"

I have personally seen a shift by all makers to blowstone, and even had an engineer at one major car maker confirm my theory.BTW - here is what the Tire Rack had to say against 4 other tires:

For an OE tire the RE050A is a good tire.

This is a more accurate assessment of the tire.

Though the RE050A Pole Position is a big leap, it's also more money. I'd be happy with the standard RE050A if they do indeed use this tire, (as it's on the SEMA car)

The RS-A's are the performance "all-season" that GM uses on thier cars, pretty typical.

Unfortunately, I get the blowstones as I am getting the 19" wheels, so I guess those are the same as on the SS-V, which are the Potenza RE-050A

These are the only tires you can run in the NW (Seattle) if
your intent is to make any headway on wet roads. On my second set in 5 years, still almost new. Great tires.
