DallasMike 09-02-2008, 11:52 AM 35mm front and rear
you're going to have to roll the fenders though
boostedG8 09-02-2008, 03:02 PM You can go much higher than a +35 offset in the rear with a 10" wide wheel.
I have seen atleast a +45 with clearance on the inside. I am sure you can go slightly higher but have not seen anyone do this yet. A +35 seems like it would be pretty far past the fender.
My 20X10 with a +42 should be here any day now. I will let you know how they fit...

I bet that's gonna be tight. I think 45-55 will be more like it.
Morris 09-02-2008, 06:53 PM What options do have for rims other than custom that have the 5/120 bolt pattern with in a 20x10" rim and a 50 or 55 offset?
I have not seen too many at all and this is what has been holding me back from getting rims. I too would like to fit 20's in a staggered set up, yet I would rather not fork out 7k for them. If I was to spend that kind of cash it would be for a Magnacharger. Maybe we can get a list going?
NWOG8 09-02-2008, 08:13 PM I am running a 20x8.5 front (255/35/20) on 40 offset and a 20x10 on rear (285/30/20)with 55 offset. It might work at 50 offset but I wasnt going to chance it. The problem is the lip on the fender well sticks in quite a bit. I started with a 20x8.5 rear (285/30/20 first then 255/35/20) with a 35 offset and it rubbed (both sizes)when the suspension loaded up in dips in the road. Havent learned how to add pictures yet or I would put one in of the wheels I have now. They are custom 3 piece forged.
locrzng888 09-02-2008, 08:28 PM nwo, what kind of wheel did you find with a 55 mm offset and could you post some pictures. Do you have a cardomain web site. You can load from there.

Hope this works. They are Savini customs front are 8.5/20 40 offset and rear is 10/20 55 offset.

I intend to roll the rear fender, as well as run a decent amount of negative camber front and rear.
Everyone always seems to forget how important suspension setup is to getting wheels to fit properly.
Morris 09-02-2008, 09:54 PM Those are cool rims, was the orange part an option? I don't mean just the color but the piece as a whole?
NWOG8 09-03-2008, 04:13 AM Thank you. The piece was part of the wheel. The orange was an option. They do have other styles that are straight 5 spoke. I felt the custom orange color set off the wheel.
Gangsta8 09-03-2008, 04:26 PM so ill go with a 40 offset on the front and a 55 on the back, with a 8.5 front 10 on the back. im going with the TSW vortex wheels
I really like the look. I checked out your link, and specifically the tire and wheel. The one thing I noticed, and it might hae been just the angle, but it did not look like the tire was large enough for the wheel. But the tire sizes you indicated are in the center of the recommended wheel widths.
How close are you to the outer fenders and how is the ride quality?
great job

NWOG8 09-04-2008, 03:07 PM I checked my invoice and the fronts are actually a 20x9. Sorry for the goof. The front tire doesnt come as far over the lip as the rear but it still looks great in person. The ride is a little stiffer but not to bad. It sits inside the upper lip on the rear which is where rubbing occured with my first set of wheels. I had 20x9 35 offset front and back. Tried both a 285 and a 255 and rear fender rubbed when suspension loaded up in dips.
DallasMike 09-05-2008, 12:05 PM guys I understand that you want wheels to fit perfect for your cars
the problem that you are going to run into is manufacturers build wheels for BMW in a 5x120 lug pattern
you cannot call TSW and tell them what offsets you want them to build
the only way to do this is to spend big bucks and go custom three piece
so to the OP if you want TSW you are going to have to go 35mm front and rear and roll your fenders
Mr. Sandog 09-05-2008, 12:26 PM you cannot call TSW and tell them what offsets you want them to build
Sure you can. And you should. The more people who do so, the more likely the manufacturer will do a run in the desired sizes. :)
Morris 09-05-2008, 06:35 PM We are driving the poor mans BMW, remember? I want bang for the buck and the company who delivers will get my hard earned money. The search continues............It's only a matter of time before one of the manufacturers builds to suit.
Gangsta8 09-05-2008, 07:54 PM i ordered the tsw in those offset ( 40 front, 50 rear) and they have it. its coming in from cali.:pir_flag:
Morris 09-13-2008, 11:07 PM I'm thinking of going with the HRE 540R's in gunmetal. Anyone know who has the prices for HRE?

Expect to pay between $1200 and $1500 per wheel. :)
