This would make a great SS version. The links of the Holden / CSV (Chevrolet Specialty Vehicles) is below. How come the US doesn't even have a Chevy Specialty Vehicles Division?

No, THAT would make a great GXP. :slap: Bob Lutz has already said Chevy has too many cars in their lineup

It would make a greater Pontiac G8 GXP.

GM should make the new Impala out of the Commodore's guts though. Apparently they might go with FWD again for the next one. HUGE mistake.

Yep I agree, they need to offer AWD too (in the Impala version)......

AWD definitely needed but expect it to still be FWD in its base version. It is their best selling car (on target to sell almost 400,000 this year) so they would probably be skittish to change it to RWD.

400,000! Jesus, how many are they selling that go to fleet? 300,000?

Uhm yeah. I don't think Holden even builds 400,000 vehicles Total in one year, much less one model of a car.

I'm new here to the G8 forum, just wanted to say hello and put my two cents in. I'm a Chevy Man all the way (multiple Caprice owner/ 94,95,95), but I'm happy to say it looks like my next new car is going to be the G8! Why? 362 HP(400hp when I get my hands on it) & RWD Is all we need to know. Well, Its a good start. From what the holden drivers say they handle real good.
As far as the Imp SS is concerned, I'll believe it when I see it.
