Took these today......

So, I guess we can say that the K-pow is blue with a hint of purple (as seen on the back part of the hood, vs the front bumper), probably purple flakes mixed in the metallic paint, where the morpheous is definitely purple.

So the K-pow is our stealth blue?

BTW - the ignition photo was not attached (as indicated in your subject line).

Yep, duly noted.....I saw that after I posted......now edited with ignition pic.
The bumper is usually a shade different probably because its plastic, however I haven't noticed it as much as on the VE.
It's hard to say what colour would get the nod if I was buying one but I would probably go for Atomic green with the factory black hood/roof/trunk stripes just because its so noticeable. Throw those 20 inch DTM rims on it and it would be a real head turner.....but each to their own.
I would say k-pow is stealth blue.......and it looks a hard colour to match if repainting needed to happen. I had a rare opportunity to see morpheous and k-pow next to each other and they are not even close. BTW.....Morpheous is striking as well.

It is absolutely astounding we are not getting the Commodore's full color palette here. Not even silver.

Dodge sells a ton of brightly colored Chargers in my state and they really help set that car apart from the sea of mundane sedans on the road. This car is nicely styled but doesn't stand out on it's own like Chrysler's stuff does, it needs these colors to define it's fun and aggressive demeanor.

I'm also disappointed with Ignition. It looks drab compared to Fusion and has too much red and is too dark.

The Orange on my cobalt SS looks waaaay better with its metallic finish

no, impulse is discontinued, K-Pow and Stealth are the same colour though

The G8 offers hardly any colors. We aren't offered purple, green, yellow or SILVER that Australians can pics. And thanks to all the chrome BS they tacked on for America it makes some of the colors we do get look worse than they should, like red.

The car needs more colors and the Commodore's black trim around the windows and grilles. It would look much sharper and sporty.

Wow, the chrome surrounding the windows on the black one looks awful.

Maybe my eventual dealer can trade me off some other color with the black surround, but that look is just plain 1970 something. Gross. This isn't my grandpa's motor, but I might find his socks in the trunk.

Especially with some dark black window tint. Egad. Maybe I will just get a C6 instead.

EDIT: I just reviewed the "lets see your trade" thread in the lounge, _nobody_ is planning to trade in a car with chrome around the windows. I am sure it is too late, Pontiac has probably already ordered however many chromed trims and however many black ones. Too bad.

EDIT II: Dang it. 100 470 post three above is now my desktop back ground. If you get some other color with the black window surround and you want to trade for my cheezy old man who wears dark socks with shorts chrome window surround just send a PM. I'll pay the labor for both of us, US$200 max. After the manual tranny gets here.

With the manual you have to take the old non-belted wide whitewalls that Firestone still has several million of in a warehouse in Cuba. Ah yes, 15" wheels with tin hubcaps too.

Olly, is the Ignition the same as the Liquid Red listed for the G8? In your picture it looks more orange than the Liquid Red in the Pontiac site and from pics of it posted in that color.

Here is Ignition out in the open......... Holden colour names converted to Pontiac names are in this site somewhere....
