Russo performance had the opportunity to recently install and tune a Cam-only package for a new VE GTS.

In stocker form the GTS pulled a dismal 195ish RWKW!! shortly before the stocker clutch expired on the dyno!! We can only surmise the clutch situation was primarily responsible for the low "before" result. Naturally we would expect a bigger number, even from a stocker VESS (albeit L98 vs LS2).

Perhaps others have seen low numbers from stocker HSV GTS's before?

Anyway the mods quickly followed...

* Russo VE OTR
* Russo E38 Custom Mafless Dyno tune
* Headers and Twin 3" system
* Tex Clutch
* 921 Pac valve springs
* 25% UDP

Suffice to say the enhancements paid off, with a not-too-shabby and very streetable 306rwkw (410rwhp) result.

You do realise that a HSV GTS is nothing like a G8 don't you ?
Well the basic body shell and the 4 doors might be the same but then the list gets short after that.

Yes, I realize that the HSV GTS has an LS2 and the G8 will have the L76. Many of the modification to both engines are the same since they use the same block. I have a TBSS now with the LS2 so I am plenty aware of the mods available.

What I love about that car is:
1. The black on black looks mean
2. The sound is awesome

Wouldnt the G8 have the L98? Sorry i dont know for sure.

Btw guys, the Russo OTR + Exhaust + Tune ran a 12.09 @113.5mph last night!

Oz gets the L98 we get the L76.
