+1 - same reason the TBSS has to have 4.10s in teh back. Gotta get that acceleration somehow!

Only time will tell but it's still basically a T56 so it's never going to shift as smooth as something like an S2000.

yeah I wonder how the shifter will be :secret: maybe we will have another hotbed of love for GMM...

The TR-6060 is the manual transmission in the new 600hp Viper. It has triple cone syncros on first and second, and double cone on third through sixth. The T-56 had double cones on first and second, with single on third through sixth. This should yield faster shifts, better feel, quieter operation, and longer service life of the trans.-----A paraphrase from Feb. 07 issue of Motor Trend

I currently drive and S2000, and have yet to find anything that comes close to it. But the car makes very little torque, so it is much easier to make the perfect trans. I was told by a relative who happens to be a Chrysler Tech that the TR-6060 is a really good and smooth unit. Not as good as the S2000, but darn good considering it harnesses nearly 600 lb/ft in the Viper. I hope this trans makes it into the G8 unaltered.

Gearing is probably to get it moving in first and economy for the rear gear.

nice I just hope the shifter itself is a nice short throw unlike the GTO..
