I have read on the forum that after getting a tune(VMS) the car performs better in D than it does Manual Or Sport. I HAve yet to get the tune, i wll have to wait until the spring when car comes out of hibernation to find out.
What i was wondering if someone could let me know the differences you feel in each mode (daily driving, hard launches, racing)?

I don't use sport mode very often. Sometimes slowing down on the interstate I might bump the stick over to grab 5th and let the engine brake her.
My auto mode rocks. Most of the time I get a nice chirp in the 1st to 2nd gear shift. Still difficult to time the shifts in manual mode.

where the heck do you live ??? My car isn't driven in rain or snow but i will take it out in the winter if the weather isn't bad.

I'm not sure where the OP is, but my G8 won't be out this winter either. I have a 5 car garage with a shop. I'll be tearing mine down this winter for some minor engine mods. :D

i live in mass, il probably do the same as you but plan on parking it most of the time and throwing full kooks system on with 1 3/4 headers, VMS tune, thermostat and possibly some more mods if i can scrape up the $$$

Can anyone answer the poster's question? I am also interested...
And actually, can the sport mode only be modded such that normal is normal, and sport would be sport (chirpin' gears, etc...)?
