Are there more colors coming? I have seen a CTF G8 twice and while it was not in direct daylight, I could swear it was purple.

THe Stealth Blue Metallic looks purple at certian angles.

Captured Test Fleet. You see them all over SE Michigan if you have a good eye. Maybe it was the blue.

Consumers need to be given more choices, not less. The current palette leaves something to be desired and it's puzzling why they wouldn't even offer Silver which is the 2nd most popular color choice in the US. Or an honest blue like Vespers.

I agree. I've been blasting GM for the pathetic color choices for months.

Well, Purple, yellow, and green are not typical color choices of folks who want a big sedan to begin with. So you can cross those off your "questions" list. I don't see many of those colors around at all.

Maybe its just a first model year thing. Odds are they'll sell well in black, magnetic grey, and red.

Most folks shopping for big cars don't want hoodscoops on them either, what is your point?

GM already makes this car in those colors, why don't we get a choice? Why offer this car in a weird purple-blue but not offer actual blue (Vespers) or any of the other more unique colors like purple (Morpheus)? Pontiac was selling the Grand Prix in a nice metallic purple not so long ago.

The Charger is the direct competition for this car and it sells very well in candy colors and it stands out. The G8's palette is limited and not as appealing as the Commodore's. There's no reason for that.

Don't take it too personally when people say they would like to see more colors. This is the Flagship vehicle for Pontiac. It needs to fill the role in colors, options, and eventually in a GXP option. It's going to be a good car. Some people just want to see it become a great car.

Passion red and Morpheus purple would be very high on my list.

We really need the choice of the full palette. Holden already paints these in colors that would please everyone.

i dare say silver would be offered next time round, but i honestly thought passion red would have been an obvious choice! its the same colour as the pontiac badge!

Sorry I don't have a photo to post but it's definitely more orange than bronze (which I take you to mean brownish) but I understand you're concern given the picture at the top of this forum is probably misleading (that's more the colour of the last GTO/CV8-Zs known as Fusion here but Brazen Orange Metallic over there and never offered on either the old or new model Commodores).

Ignition here in Oz can come with "Ignition Leather Inserts" so that may be what you see there - if this is an early build it may not have the same combos as they have decided on the "production" cars..
But it also may be screen colours :sick:

i agree with you johnh... we need that option as well. i would be very excited to see these cars come in fusion orange, brazen orange, and a pearlescent white. all which would be on my list right away. oh and for the leather inserts i agree that should be offered. if its not, ill probably swing for a good upholstry shop to try and do a good match for me... but in suede.

very poor photo's, but Karma is a dark blue-ish grey colour, similar to the G8 show car i think. would look awesome on a sporty model, pretty plain on the Omega.

Voodoo is very similar to impulse, but much brighter and more chromatic

Both of those are great colors. I hope GM gives us the full palette for 2009.

Looks like Voodoo is gonna become Stryker Blue in the US. I was hoping for a navy blue color.

Thank you so much for posting this info! I am really ticked to hear that Ignition Orange is going away, and I was hoping the #26 Sport Red would be Passion. This seems to confirm my hope, so I guess that is my #1 color choice now. It looks like my '09/'10 G8 GXP will be the 4th burgundy vehicle that my wife and I have bought in a row ('00 Redfire GTP, '04 Medium Red Trailblazer, and '06 Red Jewel Trailblazer). That is unless they offer a nice yellow, and then I will be all over that:boink:!

I like those new colors. a Midnight/Navy Blue would be nice. Adding a couple new colors and killing a couple of the slow sellers would be smart.

Saw stelth blue met. today and it does change colors. The GM people call it the Barney car. Different not for me. THe GM guy that I was talking to said that they were only going to get 18 of this color.

Atomic would be my first choice, and Passion would be a very close second at this point, though I'd have to see both in person to be sure. Since it appears we'll get Passion in '09 and Karma Dark Green most certainly isn't Atomic (since Atomic is not Dark by any stretch), I'll probably be choosing between these colors.

I must say, the picture of the Passion Red just absolutely makes GM's current homegrown Red Jewel Tintcoat look like throwup.

Definitely a step in the right direction, but we do need Morpheus, Atomic and Crunch as well as the vivid orange the GXP show car was wearing.

First of all- I love Voo Doo! That is my color. Second, why is this in the detailing section? I never would have looked here if it wasn't for a link from the general discussion thread. I always thought detailing was for newbs to learn what a clay bar is. Appearance seems more like a body kit mod or a place to show of how many emblems (pieces of flare) you have. Back on topic- Voo Doo is sick! I wonder if blue inserts will make the interior option list.

Hmmmm... Has anyone considered moving the "pontiac" and the "G8" and "GT" down to the bottom of the trunk like this car has? Maybe pontiac on the left, and G8GT to the right, with a slight seperation between G8 and GT. That may look better then the badging currently.
