Has anyone had this and had the dealership catch it? I want a vector tune but I want to keep my warranty so I would get the stealth tune. Anyone had this done before?

From what Kirk says they may be able to tell by driving that it isn't stock but they won't be able to prove it. They keep the stock CVN number. Now if they sent it into GM and GM spent hours trying to find it I'm sure they could but the dealers don't have the equipment to do that. Like I said this is what Vector says and I believe them as they have not yet given me a reason not to.

As far as I figure they can tell if they attempt to reflash the ecm. Because it is locked they will be unable to and will assume something is wrong with it but won't know exactly what. Probably just order a replacement for you under warranty, tossing your stealthed ecm in the trash. Bummer.

If that does happen we will stealth program your new ECM for free.

Kirk, that's good to know. Customer service is a nice thing these days.

My dealership knows my G8 is modified. So being the 1st steath tune really didn't matter. LOL

This is very good to know. I'm thinking that a tune might be the only mod I do since I've never had a new car before and am worried about my warrantee. Even with just a tun though, these cars gain so much that I'll probably be running low 13's!

I opted for the Stealth option on my tune. I figured for a few extra bucks it could save me a lot.
