Hey well the name is Ray and I'm a proud owner of a 08 G8 GT. My perivous car was a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with just about every bolt on mod you could think of on it along with a M90 blowr on it The tranny started to go so I tought I would sell it before it got expensive. I'm hoping to do the same with my G8. But I'm going to start with the basics CAI, tune, Exhuast, underdrive pulley. So are there any other G8s in the Brooklyn area. I've had the car for 2 and half months and I have seen one, and it was on old ladies car it was V6. Thats it no one else. I see some ar eyou guys are from LI queens and CT but no one from Brooklyn. I hope to one day meet up with you guys at your meets and see what other guys have done with there G8s.

Yea Roman I live in Marine Park also, Ryder Street and Ave P. Wow small world. By any chance do you own a Liquid Red G8 I saw one the other day infront of Fiveos diner on Quienten Rd and Flatbush.

No it was not me mine is dark grey. which dealership did you purchase yours from? If you ever need to take your car for service dont ever take it to Krystal or Bruno they will screw it up. So how do you like it so far. I also had a GP before this one its a totally different experience.
Driving G8 GT

Yea I wil never go there for service I had bad experience in the past with them and I refuse to go there. I got my G8 from Villa Marin in Staten Island, they are great there. They treated me very well and wouldn;t let me leave unless I was satified. I have to take it in for service soon. I love the car, I was going to wait for the GXP but I couldn't wait and since I got a very nice offer on my GP I sold and bought the G8 in July. So do you have anything done to the car yet, I'm looking to start soon jsut with a intake then when winter is over the Tune and Exhaust.

I have not done anything yet. I am plannig to get the tune probably after winter is over because the tranny really bothers me. I am used to really smouth shifts with GP but this one is a little different it does a lote of thinking before it shifts. Everyone on the board says Vector tune is great.

Yea your right about the shifts, if you want someone to tune your car My friend Matt at Tune Time Performance does a great job, all my friends bring there cars to him I had my GP tuned there. its in Toms River. He just became a vendor on the board.

hey V8G8 i work in brooklyn (midwood) Ave M & E13th st. I have a liquid red g8 gt. I have not seen any other g8 around here.

Yea I have only seen a few, Some old lady driving a black on and a Red one parked on Flatbush and Quentin Rd. But its funny b/c Krsytal Automall got a few 09 instock, 3 V6s and 1 V8 and they are sold out. I drive by the car show every Sat night in the Cesers Bay Parking lot on out of everyone there no one has one, I Like it tho its Fun knowing no one else has it.

I got my G8 from Villa Marin also and they do treat you well. I live in Staten Island and work in Brooklyn and I havent even come close to seeing another G8. Villa Marin has the same 4 09's and 1 08 for the last 6 months. Do you guys plan on servicing at dealership?

Nice a few guys in brooklyn. When it get alittle warmer me and my friends go out to DPA on sat night we should get together and go out there. a few G8 will be nice to see.

I had to send my car in to the dealership. It had a bad valve lifter manifold and I lost oil pressure. Out of all the dealerships I have gone to Villa is one of the best a got two phone calls a day from them telling me the status of the car and when I was going to get it back. I will deff bring my G8 there to be serviced, what ever you do DONOT go to Kristal, they will f-up your car. Muy friend brought his TB SS in there for minor service and they stole is dashhawk and CAI.

Kristal is the worse, They deserve to be shut down. I bought my car there only because they had it in stock.I had a problem with onstar and they wanted to take the whole dash apart. I told the idiots there to leave it alone. Took it to my stereo guy on Mcdonald ave and all he did was to disconnect battery (5 mins). They have NO CLUE and I called GM and have made numerious complaints.

Nice to see some people in here from Bklyn/SI areas. I live in SI and have only seen one other G8 and that was last week in the mall parking lot. It was Stryker Blue and I thought I saw a license plate frame from some NJ dealer. I work in Bklyn and have yet to see one out here. If you guys want to meet up somewhere,we should hook it up.....

Kristal in Brooklyn sucked from way back in the day. I grew up around there. My father bought Caddys there and they were always awful. Good place to meet is at the Aviator sports complex at Floyd Bennet field on Flatbush ave.. A bunch of Vette guys meet up there on Wendsdays during the nicer months. I sometimes stop by on my way home from downtown Brooklyn to Oceanside but unfortunately the Vette is always home. My son JuniorSS goes out to DPA often too and advises everyone to watch your asses over there, lots of police action! He'll meet up with you guys when you decide to head out there!

I visit family in SI & Brooklyn almost every weekend. Saw a black G8 at Stillwell & 86th St under the EL while waiting at the light. Saw a G8 GT on Rockland Ave on SI once several weeks ago. Other than that... NADA!

Theres a red GT I see cruising around Staten Island...and another black GT about 3 blocks from my house on Staten Island but I never see it around, only in the driveway. Theres also a v6 g8 that I see cruising around park slope every morning but Im not in my car by that time.

Yea true, How much did you pick up from stock with there CAI and tune.

313 rwhp and 339 rwtq.....for some reason I thought it would be more. I feel it though when I drive and I guess thats what counts....
