There's a vehicle carrier departing Port Adelaide just about every week. However there are no direct sailings from Port Adelaide to Benecia. All these ships make multiple stops along the way.

It's anyone's guess how many G8's are on each of these ships. I suspect that they transfer them to other ships in Singapore prior to the Pacific crossing.

Looks like vehicle carriers also use berth 2. But I can't find a single vehicle carrier listed as leaving on 12/18 as reported. Closest is Violet Ace on teh 17th. And elsewhere reported that the Coral Highway was the ship being loaded in pictures, yet that ship doesn't show anywhere. (maybe wrong pics)

I'm guessing the first real batch was on the Brussel which departed 12/23 and bound for Singapore. The 12/18 date might have been when the G8s left the plant vs set sail.

Unfortunately I can't find any website that shows ship departures out of Singapore. However here's a pretty cool site showing Bay Area ship traffic:
