At least according to the participant page not one G8 is pre-registered for next weekend. The page could be a little behind because i also notice there are no GTOs registered either and there were several racing last year. I hope to see some of y'all there. It always cool to check out the new tech and competition.

btw. last i looked 53 participants/19 GM but roswell, kahuna and the northern contingent while registered and supporting the evnt aren't gonna show in part, i believe, because of the big dog finish last year.

What's the deal with the Big Dog finish last year? Refresh my memory. I was only half there mentally, hanging out with the INC guys (I'm iiibdsiil).

I'm trying to get everything taken care of Thursday, buying a G8, so I can be in Atlanta Friday night, partying of course. I'll probably only do the run-all-day thing if I run at all.

big john and his full weight "bad Bow Tie" has run some insanely fast times. couple of runs in the 8.xx's. he's always been a proponent of full weight and has run his car that way every year. weighed it several times during the day last year. however, when he won the big dog he bypassed the scales and came on down pit road to claim another trophy. the ford or lincoln or merc guys...don't remember which, stopped behind him and weighed again. then when they got back down to the starting line they protested that john didn't weigh his car after the race to verify he was over 4000# so they won by DQ on the technicality.
