I had a couple good runs. Never broke out of the 14's but i also had a passenger the whole time. Here is my slip:

R/T: 0.003
60':2.2
MPH: 77.67
1/4: 14.102
MPH: 99.65

My car was doing very well for a passenger in the car with me. let me know what you think.

yea I am stock, the only thing I have is an exhaust. I am just wanting to learn to get out of the hole sooner I was never really good at that. I did really well that night. I am sure that I could have gotten into the 13's if I would have kicked my passenger out...lol

Your passenger didn't help, but it would be more helpful if you got your 60' time down to around 2.0 - something I believe most guys are getting with the G8 + summer 19" tires.

Knocking 2 tenths off your 60' would put you into the 13's even with a passenger.

They say that every tenth you knock off your 60' time results in 2 or more tenths off your quarter mile time. Not an exact science, but has been more than accurate in my own experiences.

Why in the world would you drag race with a passenger? Not only does it slow you down significantly but why risk 2 people if something goes sideways?

I am new at this and she has been into racing her whole life. I see your point though...

My first run my 60' was 2.0 but i red lighted and i hit my break before the line. I still ran a 14.4 I think that i would have put a 14 flat or 13.9 but i froze. I am not sure why I did that. Like I said I am new at this and there is still a lot that I have to learn.

Biggest thing to remember as far as red lighting goes is that it doesn't affect the accuracy of the timing of your run. The clock starts when you break the beams, not when the green light comes on. As long as you're just doing test and tunes, if you red light, don't sweat it, just run it anyway just like you hadn't red lighted.

good advice ^^^^^!

Don't even focus on the tree unless you are actually trying to race the car in the other lane. Sometimes I'll even just sit for a second or two just so I can make sure I launch properly.

Thanks for the advice...I usually know that it doesn't matter if you red light it or not I was just zoned out. I felt so bad when i hit my break but it was just test and tune so I just hot lapped it and went again. I entered the trophy class because my car was consistent I would have done really good except for the 3rd time down the track I broke my time. However if I would have let off the other guy would have beet me so I would rather be put out for my time than be beat. It was fun and I learned a lot. I appreciate the advice that I get from everyone.

I have never been to a track that allows passengers.
