I grew up in KC and still have family there, so I make it back a few times a year to visit and whatnot. If it were up to me I would have them all come out here...but it's easier for me to go that way.

I know, I love Prochargers, just not crazy about the design and placement of the unit. I liked what you guys did with the TBSS kit, and was wondering if you would have an improved design on the G8?

Did you used to have the Black Camaro, with the plates that read 383ss? If so, I remember going to track about every weekend watching you run. I had a Red Cobra with a Black painted roof back then, and a Black cobra with Black wheels.

Got me a 08 IOM G8 GT two weekends ago in Manhattan. I'm in the Ft Riley area. Would be interested in any input on some mild tuning to get the most out of the factory equipment for future use in the area. The car does need some tuning, It seems like it takes forever to shift when in manual and sport mode. It seems to shift better in normal mode.

Another KC guy here. Joined forum 5/28/09. Bought car 6/1/09. Sport Red Metallic G8GT with Premium Package & Sunroof (no Sunroof). Not sure if I will do any mods. Can't believe there are only 4 KC G8 owners on this forum. This is my first time on any online forum, so this is all new to me. More? I've had my car just shy of 2 months now, and only saw another G8 while driving, once. Just once. It was on Noland Rd. I honked and waved, and the old man and old lady (no offense) just kept staring into the abyss. I felt like they didn't deserve to be driving a G8 if they were that oblivious!!

Warrensburg, MO here, but willing to travel since most of the half dozen G8 owners here in town arent on here, I have only met and talked to one who is on the forum.:pir_flag:

I got mine in april live in independence and drive up in down noland road all the time and 40 hwy. I have seen maybe 7-8 different ones around town. i own the Stryker Blue cant miss me.......lets race. RXApple you go to kcir often? think i have seen you there before

I got mine the begining of june. Live in Emporia. Just got on the site in Aug. We come up to KC every couple of months or so.

Wife works at Whiteman AFB, and lives in Lamonte, so I am up there all the time. I work down at Tinker AFB in OKC. So if you see a SRM with OKie plates in South KC, Lee's Summit, or running up and down route 50, its probably me.

Close enough to KC.....Live in Lansing, the outskirts of Leavenworth County. Anyone here of house of boost or Aerocharger? Thinking about going with one of there systems. The CAI and axle backs just are not cuttin it for me anymore! Need more power

Pongdadong: Back in the spring, I remember Andy Klein putting 20" chrome wheels onto a SRM G8GT that was for sale, but it didn't have any red accents. So someone has obviously bought some aftermarket wheels. Speaking of . . . about 2 months ago, I went to KC Trends (the original one on Johnson Dr.) and saw some sweet rims. I really liked a 20" Lexani, but thinking I'll wait at least through my first winter before deciding on whether to get any aftermarket wheels & tires. Just too many other important things to spend money on!!

That's kinda funny. If you ever make down this way, we'll have to meet for lunch. Be on the lookout later this month, will be on my way through. Weather will determine the mode of transportation though. I drove through KC in January in the snow this year in my truck and don't think I would risk taking the car in a snow storm.

Snow sucks, and my trip home Sunday really sucked. Especially when the bridge at the 435/470 interchange was covered in slush with no visible lanes and people passing me on both sides while I was running 45+ to keep from getting run over. Made it back without incident, so that's a plus. Snowing like crazy when I left Knob Noster at noon.

09 Stryker Blue GT

I am a legit KC owner. I live near Zona Rosa here in the Northland. 2009 Silver GT with sport package and wheel upgrade. just joined the website because I am on a hunt for a solo exhaust system. The SOLO website doesnt show any G8 related systems however everyone on this website raves about the system. I had magnaflow axle back however the drone was so bad I had to sell them on ebay with only 100 miles on them. Apparently the CORSA and SOLO systems are the only ones we can buy that wont have the annoying drone.

I live in Lee's Summit. Got a liquid red 08 gt in November. Any recommendations for a place to get the windows tinted?

I took my car to MidWest Tinting the one on 40 Hwy by i70. Total cost for 15% all around was 120 which isnt bad counting that there are 7 windows on this car. Did an awsome job no bubbles no streaks flawless to my eye... Made the car look that more sexy.

$120? Dang, that is cheaper than my buddies (ex-installers) charge.

If i remember right i think it was around 120 might of forgot tho its about 25 30 bucks a window so maybe 135 or so.

still cheap and worth a call. I have two buddies, one who was a professional installer for 10 years, that quoted me $140. He is the best I've seen but since it is a side job, it is hard to find time for him to do it (and he only does it like a favor because he doesn't really need the cash)

They quoted me $230 via email, I am going to try and go in Saturday morning. I guess they also offer a 10% coupon that can be printed out online. Even though it more than what they charged you, I guess it doesn't seem like that bad of a price. If I get it done, I'll post the final charge.

Well that's crazy i know for a fact that it wasn't over $200... i might be mixing up the prices from when i got my other car tinted i want to say it was anywhere from 120-180... what % tint did you get?

I'm a little late, but I only use KC Tint Works up north on N Oak. I've had multiple cars done by them and never once had a problem. Might be a little far for you, but I'd say worth the drive.
