: Who would make wheels for the G8?

For tires I'm thinking 295/35-18 in the rear and 255/40-18 in the front would fit nicely.

I know the lug pattern is 5-120, what does the offset/backspacing?

Are there any other criteria that need to be taken into consideration?

Yes, tire pressure monitoring.

And room for the brakes. A whjeel can be right size, pattern, ofgfset, but be thicker material and rub on brake parts.

So what would be good widths...18 x 9 front and 18 x 10 rear?

Right now, I'd say that 8.5" front/9.5" rear to be safe. That would let the 295 tires fit properly. But, always remember, once the tire gets mounted to the rim, most wheel companies won't accept returns.

We have been making the wheels for the G8 as a Holden Commodore in Australia. Like we have done with the GTO, we are the "GOT TO" people for the G8, for wheels and tires. We already have wheels on the floor in a range from 17" to 20". Widths range from 8" to 10". Some of the wheels are already listed on the site.

I'm guessing that we're gonna be seeing more of the ROH Drift R. :gr_jest: I don't expect you to sell many sets of 17" wheels to G8 owners. :p

So could someone in theory order a set of wheels for the G8 right now? I plan on getting 19s with the G8 and would need a winter set. The Drift Rs are pretty nice for winter wheels, but there isn't much else out there. It looks like I probably wouldn't be able to get a car here till mid March, which is when I put on the summer wheels.

Yes, the Drift-R will be available for the G8, as well as some others including a new 20" wheel. The 20 inch wheels are not on the floor yet and not on the site at the moment. We are taking pre-orders for all other G8 wheels now.

I'm sorry, $1K per wheel is a lot more than I am going to pay.

If you read the description it shows how many are included in the "quantity."

If you are talking about the original G8 show car, it was the HSV wheels:

So how long before makes a sticky of definitive maximum sizes?

I personally want some fat tire 18's... nothing short of 285mm rears.
Mmm... that'd be quite nice. hunkered low on some beefy tires.

I am interested in getting Holden HSV wheels for my G8 and my GTO (bought the goat new in 06 and just had to replace tires due to the dreaded STRUT RUB...but that is another story for another forum). Any good places that sell these wheels at a reasonable price? Found wheel king via google search. any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
