Today a Pedders dealer talked me into test driving a G8 before I sign for a new C6.
I see all kinds of weekend warrior parts on the Pedders USA site, but no dampers yet for the high mileage crowd.
Should I just buy a C6 (lovely test drive), hope for Koni Yellow, or check back in a few weeks?
Those spec diameter anti-roll bars don't sound especially adjustable.
Thanks

I guess it depends on you and what your actual needs are but the C6 is an amazing car, and can easily be a daily driver (even the Z ;)). Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hey thanks Paul. I really loved the C6, but I travel rather a lot and would have to use a small trailer with it. A G8 I could just button up and go.
I suspect JusticePete will not be the only Pedder's individual to know me by my avatar. Probably even more high mileage sales types looking at the G8 than the GTO, so I am sure Pedder's will see the opportunity...
I'll also be holding out for an adjustable sway bar set.
Modded G8 - stock C6 - modded G8 - stock C6. Oh the agony. Gotta have a manual tranny either way though.

We will have both coil overs and struts available before the cars hit the showroom floor. The below link will take you to that page on the website.

GREAT question!!!!!
The suspension architecture in the G8 is vastly superior and several generations ahead of our GTOs. That is a painful thing to say out loud and this one even more so ... The Chrysler LX is a full generation ahead of our GTOs. A GSR damped LX lowered with every possible bush replaced with Pedders rides BETTER than OE -- this directly from execs at Chrysler. Look at how little squat there is as I warm up the tires. Our demo HEMI Dodge Charger

Drives like a dream. We will introduce eXtremes for the LX but we may not go down the Comfort Gas product road. The car is just too smooth in full GSR trim. This is especially true in parking lots over speed bump. All speed bumps are NOT created equal. Those we have done demos with in Phoenix and Vegas are none events at 10 to 15 MPH and we are flying over them at 20 MPH + -- This is NOT recommended for your personal car, but does prove a point on a test drive. Lowered, bushed and damped is not rough in an advanced chassis architecture.
Enough of the LX and back to the G8. The GTO being the bench mark, the LX is a generation ahead of the GTO, the G8 is 2.5 generations ahead of the GTO. Until the G8 arrives in the USA you cannot possibly appreciate the advanced ZETA platform design. GM is producing a class leading platform -- they have done a very very very good job. A GSR equipped G8 will be everything you could want on the highway -- and then some. A G8 is GSR trims in smoother than a GTO with Comfort Gas -- because of the advanced chassis design.
Now a G8 fully Pedderised with eXtremes and our blade adjustable eXtreme sways with our chrome endlinks -- that is a true drivers car that will THRILL a weekend warrior.
Pedders will be delivering complete blade adjustable kits for the G8 that include Pedders HD Chrome Endlinks. Pedders USA will not offer ANY sway bars that are NOT adjustable. Our bars are a bit smaller than most, because they have been designed to work in a full Pedderised suspension. Other companies design the bars to work with an OE suspension. In many cases those bars turn out to be too large for use with upgraded suspension components. A prime example can be found in the Mustang world. The bars on a factory equipped Shelby could hold up the Sear Tower. They do tone down a factory sprung, damped and bushed car but are overwhelming on a Pedderised Mustang. :secret: Ooooppps :secret: That was a typo. There is no such thing --- at least not yet :secret:
If the PEDDERS NATION feels strongly that we need to bring a Comfort Gas to market for the G8, we will bring Comfort Gas to market for the G8. Please wait to vote on this until you DRIVE a fully Pedderised G8 with GSR -- coming to a Dealer near you SOON!
