: Some Aussie Car Photos from my holiday
isszy 01-12-2008, 09:07 PM I have just returned from a week at Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Here are some random shots of mostly Commodores I took much to the disgust of my wife. These are from my camera phone so they are not the best quality.

Yeah, so whenever you get a chance could you just crate up your SS-V ship it through the Panama Canal to New Jersey that would be great. Only if it is a manual of course.
Nice pics by the way. Has there been any talk of a Monaro for the new VE chassis?

bradG8 01-13-2008, 05:54 PM Aussies have a bolder and wider paint pallet to choose from...that's factory. ;)
asylum 01-13-2008, 08:33 PM i build them :D its not factory, unless it was a 1-off while i wasn't looking

*Cough* SV6 ;)
isszy 01-14-2008, 08:45 PM *Cough* SV6 ;)
Not bad trainspotting ...
The fact that it had the 18" wheels was the giveaway it wasn't a V, the fact that SS does not appear on the rear door makes it an SV6. I had another shot of an SSV at the same crossing but it was too blurry to use (my excuse and I'm sticking to it...:stickpoke:
Also ......single exhaust pipes on each side, the white car in the background has 28IF plates....and that's john lennon on the crossing. After dissecting this picture with the Sherlock Holmes intensity that PMD did i have come to the conclusion that Waldo is in the background...............:stickpoke: :gr_jest:
94commo 01-16-2008, 02:31 PM Nice Phone Camera work to get a snap of the prototype Ford Ute! I drive past the ford factory often but have seen no proto's. The LHD commodores/G8's on the other hand, seem to pop up all around the place!
isszy 01-16-2008, 03:33 PM Welcome 94commo ! Tell us a bit about yourself.
There's plenty of Aussies here, me, olly, asylum, mmciau, menace, and mikmak pokes his head in every now and then.
Does your name suggest you drive a VR Commodore ?
94commo 01-16-2008, 04:07 PM Thanks isszy - You're still posting so you must have survived the summer holidays with the family. But the papers (herald Sun) said that there were riots everywhere along the coast!!! The only thing I use the Herald Sun for is mopping up oil in the shed. As for cars, my daily driver is a VR commodore 5.0 (police pack) bought new back in '94. Also have a collection of old original Holdens in the shed. '62 EK sedan, '63 EJ sedan, '63 EH Ute. Apologies to US posters as these vehicles will be unfamiliar!!
isszy 01-16-2008, 08:00 PM You'd be surprised - some of these guys know more about Aussie cars than most Aussies!
My holiday was after new year so things had quietened down. Had to survive a 5 year old and a 10 year old though...
94commo 01-16-2008, 08:17 PM Yeah guess so - I take it that you won't be updating your VZ to the new (shorter)VE? With two kids and all of the gear it might be a bit of a squeeze.

Did you ever get to the beach??? :stickpoke:
isszy 01-16-2008, 09:17 PM Did you ever get to the beach??? :stickpoke:
Plenty - the caravan park was on the beach. She Who Must Be Obeyed has a strict "don't post pictures of the family on the net" rule so I can only post some random shots.
r.penguin@comcast.net 01-16-2008, 09:43 PM If She Who Must Be Obeyed is the one leaning on the hood of the Holden....I presume with you, I would most surely obey without fail! Forever! A very attractive lady.:eek2:
